Do you have a locked bootloader? Which Install method did you use?
Bootloader unlocked. I was on OOS 5.0.8, then clean flashed (wiping system, data including internal storage, Dalvik and Cache) the Closed Beta Pie. Ran it till the Open Beta was available and from there I clean flashed (omitting to wipe internal storage) the Open Beta Pie. No issues. I was encrypted to start with and continue to be so at present. TWRP and Magisk are standard for all the three versions.

Why does one try dirty flashing from Oreo to pie directly?
If one is willing to wipe data, one can first try dirty flashing and if that fails one still can erase the data.

I managed to fix the "not certified" issue in Play Store.
I had to make a force close and clear data of the Play Store app. After relaunch the app, the certification disappeared from the parameters menu, and it came back after a moment, saying the device is certified.

Works great!

Anyone noticed huge battery drain on airplane mode? It takes my battery from 80% to 0% in one hour of airplane mode. No problems with normal use just airplane mode.
No such problem here. It sounds like some app is trying to connect to the internet and waking up your phone.

Flashing Steps Assistance Plzz

Hi guys .. what if I dont have a external OTG drive to have the pie rom & magisk ?

I'm on sky dragon Pie ROM with unlocked bootloader , encrypted device and official TWRP 3.2. I have copied the community build to the internal storage. What will be the next steps of action for me. Can anyone please help me, I'm a bit confused after going through the thread and reading multiple scenarios of different ppl.

If you are on (Magisk rooted) Community Beta 1 and want to upgrade to Community Beta 2:

1. Flashed ROM (Community Beta 2) zip.

2. Flashed twrp image.

3. Pressed power button for as long as possible until it rebooted again.

4. Pressed volume button before it could reboot so that i can select recovery. This step is important. If you won't do it, your recovery will be replaced with stock one.

5. Flash magisk zip. 19.1

6. Reboot system. It will take 3-5 minutes.

I have installed the rom but without formatting the internal memory. Now it's stuck in boot logo. What can I do to rectify this?
I tried going to twrp by install it through fastboot, but when twrp loads it asks for apssword, which i havent even set. Any help please

if only you have read the OP. This ROM requires internal memory formatted to boot.
If you don't want that, cancel the twrp password prompt, mount only /system and /cache. Flash OOS Oreo and you can access your phone then. Flashing a custom ROM won't help as the firmware would still be of community beta, so it would require a reflash of stock OOS to replace firmware files.

First time I've ever uploaded a Community Beta OS onto my OnePlus 3. Up to now I've just run stock OxygenOS and kept it up to date. But thought it was worth a risk to check out Android Pie. Very pleased so far. I'm not techy at all so even successfully downloading and installing the update was a huge success for me! Love the look and feel Very slick.

Only thing I've come across so far (and I'm only 20 minutes into this after update) is that it doesn't support SwiftKey software plugin. The keyboard was just invisible so I couldn't see the keys. I found that keyboard settings and reverted back to standard, and it has reappeared now. Luckily!! Cos kinda screwed without being able to see the keys.

Should I post this glitch or mentioned SwiftKey not supported elsewhere? How are OnePlus gathering all the user testing ?

Thanks.

A total novice taking his first baby steps into modding is OnePlus 3. Ultra Disco Stu.

Flashing magisk gives my 3T a bootloop. The device boots but after booting it immediately ahuts down and reboots to TWRP.

Rolled back to CB1

Sent from my OnePlus 3T using XDA Labs

Yeah following these instructions gives me a TWRP bootloop. I had to flash the magisk uninstall, let the rom load properly, then flash magisk through TWRP afterwards. Hope this helps others.

Did you have the box install trwp as a system app checked. I had that checked and i got stuck too, once i unchecked it i was out of the loop.

So.. if i understand it right. I have to get encrypted to boot this beta right? So why there's a thread on getting decrypted still while booting this rom?, I'm scratching my head why can't i boot it decrypted, even though with patched boot.img, fstab and force-encrypt disabler, magisk and so on
