I have successfully installed android pie, but even after installing twrp after rebooting it goes back to stock recovery. What do I have to do so that the twrp recovery stays?

I can't mount USB-OTG in TWRP. It simply doesn't tick the option. Any ideas?
I'm trying to put the ROM tile onto internal storage via MTP, as ADB sideload reports it cannot open the file for some reason.

EDIT: sideload works, you have to disable Driver signing enforcement in Windows (run Command prompt as an Admin) by running
Code:
bcdedit /set testsigning on
and rebooting.

After flashing TWRP, reboot into TWRP and then boot into system. The issue should be solved. If not, immediately after flashing TWRP, flash Magisk and then boot.

If you don't want to use magisk you can delete/renaming the install-recovery.sh present in /system/bin/ when you install oos via twrp before booting into system.

Hello,
I am using Havoc-OS with unlocked bootloader and I want to install Community Beta 2, can I flash it or should I relock my bootloader?
----
Hello again,
I wiped system, data, cache and ERASED the internal storage, then flashed the rom. But it didn't boot up for 45mins.
Does anyone know a solution?

Hi!
Has anyone tried it?
Which modified google camera (with night sight) version works on the CB2 ROM?
Can I use the same app as for the OP 6 / 6T PIE version?

By erasing, did you meant format?

Erasing/wiping will not help. You have to format /data.

I was having trouble sticking twrp too. If you need reference it's same issue with pixel phones.
But here are the steps
Fastboot flash recovery twrp
Fastboot reboot-bootloader
Fastboot reboot-recovery
When the phone is booting and you get the message to pause boot. Press that and go to recovery
In twrp home page hit power off
Again go to recovery when the phone is starting up.
And install magisk
Then power off from recovery home page
Turn it on and it should work

I want to move to clean official stock Pie with locked bootloader.
How should I flash the new stable Pie build?
Currently I am on Skydragon, twrp, rooted and encrypted.
Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Nevermid I got it.

If you are on (Magisk rooted) Community Beta 1 and want to upgrade to Community Beta 2:

1. Flashed ROM (Community Beta 2) zip.

2. Flashed twrp image.

3. Pressed power button for as long as possible until it rebooted again.

4. Pressed volume button before it could reboot so that i can select recovery. This step is important. If you won't do it, your recovery will be replaced with stock one.

5. Flash magisk zip. 19.1

6. Reboot system. It will take 3-5 minutes.
Hi there,

Have you updated from Community Beta 2 to Stable?

If yes, did you use these same steps?

I updated yesterday Tot 9.0.2, the steps where different:

1. Install latest magisk and boot normally to system.

2. Reboot to twrp.

3. Flashed ROM (9.0.2) zip.

4. Flash latest magisk.

5. Flashed twrp image.

6. Reboot to system.
