i dumped my mega 6.3 in favor of the i9192 owing to the latter's dual-sim feature; obviously a bad move. the mega will get 4.4 but nowhere it to be found for i9192. samsung..unfair!!!!!

yes but he didn't mention KK in his post. He is right, an update is coming, no word of KKSorry to say but the update you mention regarding S4mini does not mention KK4.4 like the other models...
But I know what you mean, this is kinda strange that KK isnt listed for the S4 Mini. This fits to the updated list of various devices to be updated where the Mini isn't listed aswell....

As it's a variant of S4 mini , it should be upgraded too.
So essentially it's same as "Hey-Tell" from your play store

Yeah, in USA. But do you know how it is everywhere else? Like someone earlier said that it isn't available in Poland, do you have different information? Since Poland don't get 4.4, I'm thinking that all the users using international model won't get the update. I asked Samsung Finland, and they didn't know/want to tell anything would international S4 mini get the update..
there is no reason why international version schouldnt get update

as i said in an earlier post sammobile did not copy/paste good from the poland site And another thing i think I9192 will get it sooner then LTE version
If u look now for example and before we always got higher version number then LTE version

and what do you mean with "damaging"? deleting apps is never damaging as far as you dont delete any important system application.
