Hello, there isnt a 4.4.2 for your exact firmware. But if your phone is carrer unlocked(unbranded) you can flash another 4.2.2 firmware which has had an upgrade to 4.4.2. Then you could upgrade to 4.4.2 using samsung kies/smart switch.
Oh i didn't know this trick

Do you know if your phone has the new knox? If you dont know you can do the following to find out. Enter download mode by;
Power off your phone. Then wait 30 seconds. Then hold volume down, the power button and the home button all at the same time. Keep the buttons pressed for a few seconds until your phone boots into download mode and a warning message appears on your phone.
Now press volume up button.
Now read the writing in the top left corner of your screen.
Does it mention the word knox anywhere?
What number is next to bootloader?
To reboot your phone back to normal just hold the power button in until your phone restarts itself.
If you want kitkat you can try to install a 4.2.2 software that has since been updated to 4.4.2. So, if you go on sammobile website and download a software like Russia 4.2.2 AP I9192XXUBMK4 CSC I9192SERBMJ3. After downloading it you need to extract it and then flash it onto your phone using odin. After you have flashed it using odin switch your phone on and you will be able to select the language you want and then leave the phone to settle for 10mins. Then run either smart switch or samsung kies on your pc and connect your phone to the pc and smartswitch/samsung kies should automatically say there is a software update(to 4.4.2) for your phone. Then just let it upgrade your phone to 4.4.2. If you dont want to upgrade using smartswitch/samsung kies you might b able to upgrade using OTA upgrade in your phone update software settings after you have flashed the 4.2.2 firmware using odin.

No idea. You could try reinstalling kies? Have you checked on your phone that the software flashed ok. When you type *#1234# on your phone do the details that come up match the kazakhstan software you have just flashed?
Yeah the firmware changed but the region is still XFE, ii'll try to reinstall kies or to do an hard reset
If you have connected your phone to kies in the past it is maybe recognising it as the old version. If you re-install kies it should recognise the new software you have put on your phone. I have a s4 mini like you that is unlocked and i am always switching the software version region whenever a new version is released. I have had to reinstall kies in the past. But in the end i have always got it to work and update the phone using kies.
Edit- my phone is from great britain(BTU) on 4.4.2. So i just flashed an older version of 4.4.2 that is from the netherlands(PHN). As soon as i switched my phone back on it offered my an OTA update for the netherlands firmware. So, it should work for you. I was just talking to a friend of mine and he said even though it said on kies that your version was XFE it should still offer you an upgrade as long as it was recognising the kazakstan firmware. Make sure you have an internet connection when connecting to kies and it may take upto 5 minutes for kies to recognise you need an update so leave your phone connected to kies for 5 minutes. Otherwise see what happens if you select 'check for update' in your phone settings and see what it says. Good luck.

Great. At least you have kitkat software now. I dont think samsung are releasing lollipop for our phone so thats it now. If you ever want to upgrade your kitkat software to a newer kitkat version you only need to download the file from sammobile and flash it using odin. You dont need to use kies anymore now you are 4.4.2Of course! Now it is more fast and i have some new options. Thank you a lot
I red on the net that the s4 mini didn't pass the main tests for lollipop so it probably won't have 5.0.
