Hi everyone,

I wanted to put this in the development section because it would get more notice, but I know it belongs here. I haven't tried ArrowOS for a while due to the build thread being closed/locked. Anyway, I've been playing around with different ROMS lately trying to find an android 10 version that gets the very low deep sleep battery usage that android 9 used to get. So on ArrowOS (android 10) I'm getting approx 2% battery drain per day if the device isn't used at all. Awesome.

I've been using CarbonROM and CRdroid which are both awesome ROMS btw, but on both of these I get approx 8% battery drain per day if the device isn't used at all.

So this thread is really just any FYI for anyone else out there like me, that thought Arrow wasn't still being updated. I've been using it for a day or so, and everything is working great. I haven't included the website link but any search will find it easily.

Hi ! I'm using Crdroid. The rom developer is already working on 11 androids. There is a future.
I can't write statistics. I installed the Hibernator apk. Now the battery is good.

In which version of the ArrowOs did you get these %2/day battery drain?

I'm using pixel experience plus for low standby battery drain. But it is Android 9.

I'm using the gapps build 2020-10-02, from arrowos . net

Should have mentioned this first post - I've got the wifi only version, and I use tasker to turn wifi on/off with the screen. No other battery optimisations etc

Been running carbon rom for a loooong time. If left I lose 4% per day. Not bad at all. That's with WiFi and cellular signal on and always connected, plus Bluetooth. Seems fine to me

Maybe that has something to do with it - yours is 4g, mine is the WIfi model? Are you running a recent build of Carbon, and do you have gapps installed?

Yup, updated regularly with the weekly builds. Have gapps installed. Not too sure, but as a guess I would have thought the 4g+WiFi would consume slightly more power than WiFi only as it'll be searching for/refreshing signal.

Also with the Bluetooth always on, whenever I watch TV it connects and disconnects to my Bluetooth speakers that come on with TV. I'd have thought that would add to consumption too.

Definitely would think that wifi only models should use less battery. Still tho, others have the same battery drain as me.. .

@Wizballs Wow, thanks for the tip! I've been having the same problem, also with a WiFI-only miPad 4. Even with MIUI from Xiaomi.eu had the same problem. I also tested the latest LineageOS 17.1, CarbonROM, and crDroid. They all lose about 5% during 7 hours of standby with WiFI and Bluetooth turned off. Whereas the latest ArrowOS lost 0% during 7 hours. Quite impressive!

There are a few disadvantages though with ArrowOS:
- The system theme color, it appears there should be a dark orange color available (something like #e74e1b) but it is not available
- The AOSP keyboard has no top number row. This is something that crDroid has, also with the AOSP keyboard.
- The default camera app has no panoramic mode. I wish they could include the MIUI Camera app that Carbon ROM uses, While also keeping the default camera, which is better for most things..
- The LED light does not turn on while charging.

Cool I just thought it would be good to share. You are right about no led light while charging, I never noticed before. I use gboard for number row, and Google camera installs from the playstore, seems to work fine for panorama shots. Also haven't noticed any issues with theming, bit I've just left it on default.

I've just installed the official ArrowOS 11.0 build. Dirty flash over AOS 10 successfully. Will test and report back, especially regarding battery life on wifi only model

Reporting back on Arrow 11.0 builds (wifi only model)

- Standby battery approx 3% per day
- OTA update works
- Charging led not showing
- Nutflix not in playstore. Probably side-loadable, but haven't tried
I also just dirty-flashed ArrowOS 11.0 (from 10.x) on my WIFI-only model. Also confirming that the LED does not appear when charging or for notifications. It has settings now to enable/disable the LED, but they make no difference.
