It's not that Pie doesn't support encryption, it's OP3/T that has not caught up at the moment. The ball is in OnePlus's court at the moment, but with the upcoming 6T, not sure how much love our devices will receive.

OnePlus did promise Pie for our devices. Just a matter of time. Sometime in Q1 we should be receiving OOS Pie.
