Here's what I can suggest you 1. Move to 4g...WiFi preferable. 2. Get rid of Facebook and its cronies. But if 2 is not possible then you need to live with this battery drain. As for your battery life, battery guru should give you a better idea. You can also check the kernel wakelocks in that app.Unfortunately I have tried my best but I still have very poor battery life compared to others on my S23 Ultra. Besides that I believe that I have bad readings also about my battery consumption.
I fully charged my phone this morning, to 100%. Since then it seems that I have 50% left. Gsam pro with adb commands, I am not rooted, states that I have eaten up 67% of battery life. My stats are since my last full charge.
In general I have disabled nearby device scan, Find my phone, Location history, Wifi Scanning, Bluetooth scanning and all of the battery eating services that I could find from this thread. I also followed by the book the guide from the first post of this thread up until Google Play Settings.
During the night I have enabled a routine that disables wifi, mobile data, enables do not disturb mode etc. except Bluetooth because I use it with my Galaxy Watch 3 for sleep tracking. During that 9 hour period it loses up to 3% which is acceptable I guess.
My settings for the day:
WQHD+
Wifi Off for most of the day.
5G on most of the day, off when I got home and opened my wifi.
Standard profile mode
AOD On.
Location On for about half an hour, always off in generar.
Forgot to mention that Battery Guru states that my battery is 104% (!) Healthy.
Any kind of help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance
Most of days I am on Wifi only. Yesterday I was away from home staying in a hotel so I decided to use 5g only until I got back and decided to post. My battery drain is the same. When I am on Wifi I am constantly to 2g only with a routine. Here's what I could

the only thing that looks suspicious for being a battery hog in those screen shots is ims service which is wifi calling, unless you really need wifi calling id keep it disabled, but your held awake time is still extremely high, what does gsam say under the"view time held awake" and "view num of times waking the device"? this will tell you exactly what is keeping the device awakeUnfortunately I have tried my best but I still have very poor battery life compared to others on my S23 Ultra. After my battery calibration I disabled Wifi Calling and Volte. Ims_Service wakelock is gone now. I had tried that before without any luck but now I am also using Naptime app which I believe has helped a lot! A new wakelock arrived though called "deviceidle_maint". Also Aod Notify seems to cause some drain as well I believe.the only thing that looks suspicious for being a battery hog in those screen shots is ims service which is wifi calling, unless you really need wifi calling id keep it disabled, but your held awake time is still extremely high, what does gsam say under the"view time held awake" and "view num of times waking the device"? this will tell you exactly what is keeping the device awake
ims_service wakelock has to do with VoLTE than with wifi calling as far as I have researched...Btw, do you use DEX a lot? If not, I'd suggest getting rid of it entirely. A possible reason for the drain you're experiencing could be dual-sims. Dual sims will always have more battery drain than single sim. If you have a spare phone, I'd suggest moving 1 of the sims to this and living with carrying 2 devices or accepting this drain for what it is.After my battery calibration I disabled Wifi Calling and Volte. My time held awake is now about 57 minutes on a 16 hour use. I don't know if it's still high to be honest.
About YouTube. I had it unrestricted because I have premium sub and when I had it restricted and listened music with my screen off sometimes it was cut off. Android stopped it from being open. The funny thing is that yesterday I opened it for like 5 minutes tops, not 15, so I restricted it again because it causes some drain. Since then it has not opened again.
Ims_Service is gone entirely after I disabled Volte. Did you reset your network settings or general settings? If so, this could cause these to be re-enabled.Ims_Service is gone entirely after I disabled Volte. I took your suggestion and I disabled my second SIM entirely to see if it will help.
I noticed something strange though. I discovered that emergency notifications like earthquakes etc had been enabled again on my Google account. Wifi Scanning also had been re-enabled although I had them disabled since day one. Any ideas what may have caused this?
I disabled Volte and Wifi calling recently. Before that I installed the April update which installed some apps I had disabled via adb since day one. Google app for example. In any case I will monitor it now and then and see if they come up again. Thank you for your help!Did you reset your network settings or general settings? Judging by those screenshots, YouTube and always on display seems to be the main culprits also your Google play services is awake a wee bit more than it should be and I'm a bit confused as to what that app is at the top of the "num of times held awake" section, with the Samsung Dex icon, do you use Samsung Dex? If you want an improvement in battery life you need to kill these drains, put YouTube into deep sleep and that should be end of that drain, as for aod, is it vital to be on all the time? I have aod at the default setting which was tap to show and it has no drain on my phone, as for Google play services, if you turn Google location accuracy off in location services along with Bluetooth and WiFi scanning your Google play services should stop waking your device up, also try to find out what that Samsung Dex process is at the top of your "num of times waking held awake" and put it into deep sleep,After my battery calibration I disabled Wifi Calling and Volte. Yeah that icon had me confused as well. It's AOD actually I don't know why they use Samsung DEX icon for it. I will change AOD to tap to wake and see how it goes.Judging by those screenshots, YouTube and always on display seems to be the main culprits also your Google play services is awake a wee bit more than it should be and I'm a bit confused as to what that app is at the top of the "num of times held awake" section, with the Samsung Dex icon, do you use Samsung Dex? The only 2 sections I use for gsam is view times held awake and number of times held awake, whatever comes out on top of these 2 sections is what is keeping your phone awake
Just an update and interested to know people's experiences too - not sure if it's since the April update or not, but I've noticed "overnight drain" on 2 consecutive nights now to be unexpectedly good when starting at 100%. Over a 6-hour period (with about 2-hours having the AOD always enabled), it drops to 98-99% only!I'm coming from the S21 Ultra (Exynos) - has anyone noticed the S23 Ultra battery display drain from 100% is much slower?
With the S21 Ultra, I go from 100% to 99% within about 10-15 minutes (with AOD always enabled), even without using the phone. In contrast, it takes the S23 Ultra more like at least 40-60 minutes. I'm not complaining, but just found it interesting how different it was.
Many devices hit 100% and keep charging for awhile, it's not unique to the S23 Ultra.Just an update and interested to know people's experiences too - not sure if it's since the April update or not, but I've noticed "overnight drain" on 2 consecutive nights now to be unexpectedly good when starting at 100%. Prior to both nights, I purposefully left the phone charging for an extra 30-60 minutes after it hit 100%, as I read some people claiming that it still charges for a while even after it displays 100%. I'm not sure if this made the difference. However, I'm actually a bit disappointed by all this, as it doesn't appear to be an accurate representation of battery % remaining.
The battery has been successfully squeezed
Amazing budNothing to complain... Seems like the September Update gave a small boost120hz,fhd+, dark mode.
Do not forget to disable all smart features as well, use it on lowest brightness available, only 2G, lowest resolution available. Or even better buy nokia phone with buttons. You'll be amazed with 1month battery. The social media apps shouldn't be installed.
Cloud apps can suck a lot of battery.
5G can as well. All Samsung's should be optimized or they will eat battery.
My N10+'s old battery is rated at about 3500 mAh and it's tearing these newer more efficient phones to pieces on SOT. No social media, sales or banking apps installed and about 70 factory loaded apps disabled. It gets about 10 hours SOT, 12-13 with a new battery.
With its huge 5002 mAh battery, a more efficient SOC and ram this new flagship should be able to best it... especially with 5G disabled.

38% left and 5hours SOT is pretty good. You can't compare directly your sot to other people. They are not using their phone same as you, they don't have same exact apps inside their phone, they don't live in your area(cellular strength), they don't use same settings as you.View attachment 6010775Can someone confirm this is normal/bad? I feel like I get crap battery life out of this phone, even with airplane mode on. I always see posts of people getting 8hr Sot the most I've ever managed is 6hr30.
Depends if you need Google backup, I don't. Disable Google Framework and Backup Transport if you don't use Google backup. Playstore is another I disable and OTA updates. Will try that overnight
What puzzles me is the amount of battery used in "deep sleep"....guess it's not that deep anymore.
And I was happy as a pig in s.. before this update![]()
I don't understand why you paste this long reply (I remember having read it earlier)...Google play Services has a bunch of dependencies. Disabling it will particularly disable them ....
This argument presents a false dilemma fallacy and seems uncharitable, in my opinion. Additionally, it's worth considering that individuals reporting no change or even improvements in battery life may have different setups compared to those reporting a significant decline. Given the numerous variables that can influence battery life, it is entirely plausible that system updates may only adversely affect specific setups. The ones saying it's same as before or "increased" or such, either have no idea about what it used be before June or giving wrong info for whatever reason..
