[Official] Best Buy GS3 thread

Ladies and gents, (credit goes to Airerik for being smarter than me since I was in full rage mode :good I have found the work around to my scenario...Buy my preorder for retail price match ($549.99), use my buy back ($240), and my $50 phone freedom gift card and walk out owning the phone...Simple enough right?...Well, since BB has a 14 day turn around, take my phone back to BB on July 1st, credit my account back for the phone, and then buy it at the upgrade price!...I spoke to my guy at BB and he spoke to the mobile manager and he said I would be able to do just that!...I hope to have this baby tomorrow right after they open!...I am excite once more!...Yes I left off the D on purpose......

Broke down and went to my store without an email. Apparently the Watertown MA store got a shipment at 4pm. Only 2 though. They expect another shipment tomorrow though. We will see...

Oh yeah I remember why I chose Best Buy..

AT&T keeps giving me a price of $299, instead of $199. I cannot figure this out at all

Called ATT Premier, told him my predicament. He said the phone should be at my house in 3-4 days, probably on Monday, but I JUST ordered the phone and told him that I have had it pre-ordered through Best Buy since June 7th and that if I knew that it was going to be delayed like this I would have ordered through AT&T since people have already gotten their phones today.

I think he somehow threw my order ahead of a bunch. Since orders were already shipped today (its 7:33PM CDT) tomorrow will probably ship it. if it gets shipped out overnight that would be cool

So did they give it to you for the $199?
Did they say why it was showing up as $299?

Reason for it showing up as $299 was because I had an "outdated" family plan. Turns out that I had family plan with 2100 minutes that allowed me to have an unlimited amount of rollover minutes. AT&T cancelled that one and made it to where the rollover minutes are capped at the amount of minutes you have allocated per month.

Ridiculous that they forced me to change to get the price of $199, but whatever; I never use 2100 minutes, nor will I ever use 2100+ rollover minutes lol.

I pray that I got like one day shipping, and tomorrow it goes out and maybe Sunday or Monday I get it.

Went by my BB about an hour ago. They have 5 blue phones for pre-orders only. They said they will be releasing them tonight or tomorrow. I pre-ordered, but I don't know where I am on the list. They had no accessories except for a screen protector..

Then, I went by an AT&T store and they had a few accessories. I picked up a couple of cases and a screen protector.

Well the fact that my online order still says "backordered" leads me to think that it hasn't shipped today, and could ship tomorrow, monday, tuesday, etc etc etc who the heck knows.

Lets see who does better, AT&T pre-order, ordered on 6/22, or best Buy pre-ordered 6/7

He'll yeah. Just walked into a best buy store in Westland, MI. The manager said they were all pre-orders but that he would call all the people on the list and if some one didn't want it anymore he would let me pre-order on the spot and then purchase it. They aren't allowed to sell them straight out until the 28. So I walked out with a cool blue one. I like it a lot. Now I just have to cancel the other order I have. If any one is in Michigan there will be a pre-order up for grabs in Novi. I will call tomorrow morning and cancel the white one. Their system is so slow the whole process took 3 hours. It was worth the wait though. Big time props to the Westland Best Buy Mobile store.

We got in three att one was mine two were customers preorders. Im in dallas. Idk. Then again were one of 32 atts flagship stores.. We get experimental stuff and phones that other stores dont get.

People have been told over the phone from Best Buy stores they got GS3s in but they are not Att or they forgot to confirm they were. The only GS3s have been Sprint. I just dont understand why you would have Att GS3s and nobody elese does. It doesnt sound like you have a huge market getting 4 Att phones and you took one of them, only preordering this past Monday. Well, he would be the second person and oddly enough, he is in Dallas and I'm in Fort Worth which are about 20 miles apart.

When I asked the BB dude, the first thing he asked me was for which carrier. I told him AT&T and then he told me about the 5 blue phones.

maybe he ordered them from ATT and shipped to BB store. hahaha
Worst Buy keeps their track record alive, as if none of us learned our lessons from the Black Friday and Touchpad fiasco. When there is a hot product people want from best buy, they always let us down; but they sure stock alot of the $100 Monster HDMI cable.

got my email at about 3PM and was first to pick up. looks like they ony had about 7 or 8 pre orders in and no accessories.

initial impression- OWNS THE EVO LTE! (which is awesome but just not as much so).
I got the Pebble Blue and I hate the color just not as much as white.
Just waiting on TPU Bumper and replacement battery cover (From China 3-4 weeks).

Here is my conversation after I arrived at BB today, the Mobile BB representative remembered me;

BB: Mr. XXXXXX, your too early the GS3's have not been delivered to our store yet.
Me: Yes they have, I have an email dated 06/22/12 12:04pm stating mine is here available for purchase.
BB: Please let me see your email.
BB: I'll check the warehouse, excuse me for a few moments.
BB: I'm sincerely sorry, here is your phone. I was not notified we received shipment of any Sprint SGS3 phones today.

Moral to the story, don't believe BB employees are always up to date of their inventory.

Glad to see that most of you guys are getting them or at least finding out that they're in stock. Sorry that made a few jealous for a couple hours this morning. TBH though I fell asleep shortly after I got back home. Graveyard shift sucks.
