Did they email you or call you or what? This is good news!!! :fingers-crossed:At&t.
you dont have to buy the buy-back program to trade in your phone. you will just probably get more for your phone if you do. i never bought it and i will be trading in my captivate for about $50 when i go to get my s3. ive done it before. buy-back just gets you more for your trade-in.You have to have paid the fee to do the buy back. I paid like $25-$30 when I bought the SGSII. Then you buy it back based on the retail price of the phone not what you paid. The sooner you trade in the more you get, up to 2 years after which you don't get anything. Which is lame. I think they got rid of the buy back program for everything except phones.
Neither. I walked in as he was taking them out of the box. Had 5 units in there in a nice black box. 3 were claimed through preorders leaving two to buy from walk in. Just got lucky. One left here in Lafayetteat best buy on Johnson st.Did they email you or call you or what? This is good news!!! :fingers-crossed:

Ouch! Why buy from BB anyway? 3rd party, even authorized resellers, almost rarely have sufficient counts of "hot" handsets at launch. Besides, BB wants $150 more for the handset than AT&T (no commit pricing)I gotta say, my whole reason for preordering through Best Buy was because they were the first to open for preorders. They started accepting preorders on 6.5.12, everyone else the following day, so I surmised that at best I'd get the phone slightly before everyone else or at worst the same time as AT&T. The sad truth is that although I preordered before 99% of the people here, I'll likely be one of the last to get the damn thing.
That being said, I'll never preorder though Best Buy again. They are as wildly uninformed as AT&T but when push comes to shove, BB gets pushed to the side as if somehow it's customers (who's money goes directly to AT&T just the same) aren't as important as those who preordered through AT&T direct. The one's who lose are us, the customers. Lesson learned. If I ever preorder a phone again, rest assured it will be direct from the carrier.
Sorry for the rant, just sucks to see so many people who preordered after I did get their phone, or at least shipping confirmation (with delivery eta 6.21.12) before I even know if my preorder is going to be filled on or before 6.21.12 as stated on my preorder receipt.![]()
Doesnt sound like he did. He said they had 5 and 3 were preorders and now only 1 left.So did you preorder???

He didn't pre-order. Looks like they ordered 5 phones and pre-orders went first and since they only had 3 pre-orders, they put the other 2 up for general sale and he bought one.So did you preorder???

sounds kind of silly, but i thought pre-orders would run out quickly. i too went in a BB the day before the official pre-ordering was allowed by ATT, so i thought for sure at least i would get one. otherwise i was assuming there were only x number available for pre-order and i would wake up the next morning and get beat to the chase to reserve one. maybe i'm imagining things, but i feel like i have tried to pre-order a phone before (maybe the original iphone) and the pre-orders actually ran out and that's where my anxiety came from.Ouch!
