Ouch! Why buy from BB anyway? 3rd party, even authorized resellers, almost rarely have sufficient counts of "hot" handsets at launch. Besides, BB wants $150 more for the handset than AT&T (no commit pricing)
I have plenty of reasons, rewards points and I bought into the buy back program so I could get more than $200 for the SGSII. Oh and their insurance is better, which I only keep for a few months. The SGSII was the first time I bought a phone from BB.

well 3pm CST is approaching and still no one with a phone. what that says to me is that UPS trucks are going to arrive at every best buy store in the nation within the hour, and i find that scheduling phenomenon to be pretty unlikely to say the least. i would have expected if today were the day, that different stores would have received shipments periodically throughout the day.

Just called the best buy wireless 800 number on my pre-order. Guy said he saw some on order for my store (Northbrook, IL) but none had shipped yet. He thought they might go out tomorrow but wasn't sure if they would be available same day.

Can't wait to get my blue s3 but it seems like the wait will be a few more days.

i see one guy that got a notification, and he was posting at the exact same time that i posted my message (which would make my point about UPS delivery still valid). the only other guy wasn't a pre-order, just got lucky walking in. i didn't see any others?

well in your post you said no one had gotten it, but at least one person has, and soon another. but i agree, i dont think every store is going to get their shipment in at the same time, so it looks like it will be sporadic through the next few days.

THIS.

Best Buy doesn't get all of their deliveries at the same time, they are on a route for each delivery service from a localish depot. The retail store I work at gets our deliveries fairly regularly 10-11am every day.

Monday will also typically be a busier day for shipping companies.

I was just checking the Best Buy website to check availability and it shows that the Pebble Blue S3 is available in store right now in Rogers, Arkansas.

I am not in Rogers, AR, but had it search within 300 miles of my location just to see if any stores had stock. All the cities were listed as "UNAVAILABLE", except Rogers, AR which was listed as available now.

Why Rogers, AR...what did they do to receive these before the bigger cities??

Gah.. called the 888 number again and got my order is awaiting inventory and they could not give me any more information.

Called the store I pre-ordered through and they told me AT&T has not released the phones yet. WOW the stories continue.

That was a good idea. I am finding a handful of stores in CA that have them "In store only" This is a good sign. I just hope its not by the store size. Its only early afternoon so today is still possible for CA.

Edit: Now I have a new page to refresh constantly.

I can't imagine that it is by store size...surely the Rogers, Arkansas store isn't one of the bigger Best Buy's in the country.

I checked in the Twin cities, and the first store I called said that was a mistake.

If their on hand counts are off either due to a funny pre-order or other issue, then it will automatically show up online.

I can't begin to tell you how frustrating this is at work when someone finds some old item we haven't had forever, but slipped through the inventory system and still shows onhands.. They wonder why out of 20,000+ items we have a few wrong.
