Once I modded my phone with any custom rom other than TW, will i still be able to locate and trace my phone other than 3rd party apps?
Vague question. If you mean samsungs anti-theft stuff, then no. It's gone. If your rom has that function built in, then that will function as a replacement.

Does anyone have trouble with battery once reaching the 15% mark?
The phone dies within a few minutes at increased acceleration once hitting 15%. My hardware must be shot because with Touchwiz its fine but a totally clean flashed CM12 produces strange battery behaviour.
I bought a new battery and tried a different charger with the same result.

Same here, this happens to me on CM and on TW as well. There are also other random times (no consistent patterns) where the battery will die at a higher % charge level. I ordered a new battery the other day....awa I ting delivery.

Would be good to know if others are experiencijg this

since Gekie moved on, I decided to move back to a stock ROM. Why? Well, one key driver for me moving to CM in the first place was the woeful performance of stock KK and the other (driver) was getting access to Lollipop 5.x.x faster. I have loved using CM this year primarily because of it's speed and the ability to receive updates quickly. The down side of CM has been the loss of the ability to utilize a number of Note 4 features (HRM, Ant+, Sensor, some pen functionality, camera features in the stock app) as well as its stability and battery issues (random reboots, crashes and battery drain).

Samsung has since released their 5.1.1 ROM (November 2015) and given we are on CM12.1 still, I thought why not give the stock option a crack again. Now having had the stock ROM installed for 2 weeks, it's performance has been stellar. Whilst not quite as fast as CM it is pretty darn close. It is stable and all the Note 4 features are enabled. It is almost like having a new toy again. [I have disabled a lot of Samsung apps and have installed the Google Now launcher]. Battery life is great too and the device does not heat up (excessively).

Edit: bluetooth connectivity on cm12 was finniky, I thought it was my devices (car, headphones with mic; hrm). No issues since reinstalling stock

I appreciate that CM13 for the Note 4 will be out soon (we don't have Gekkie though), however Samsung are rumored to have Marshmallow ready during March 2016....which isn't that far away.

So the above is my 2 cents on the matter (thanks for asking ;), I hope this supports anyone trying to make a decision to stay or move from stock and vise versa for CM users. I am happy (for now) with stock 5.1.1 ..
I still have not decided wether to go back to stock...
I'm running the latest CM12.1.
Can I do a dirty flash to stock? Just run tar in ODIN? Did you?
