RR 7.0.2 is Android 9 based, crDroid is Android 10 based, I think is not a good practice keep data when install the ROM.
You have to clean cache etc, before make a backup of your data, I use https://f-droid.org/app/dk.jens.backup but there is many app you can use for it.

I got these error messages on TWRP when I flashed this ROM.

I have to admit I'm a bit stuck here, it's my first time flashing any custom ROM on a Samsung Galaxy. I restored my backup and I'm scratching my head wondering what to do next.

Is there any solution to this problem?

Anyway, this is basically what TWRP had to say....

Checking for digest file..
Unmounting system..
Flashing A/B zip to inactive slot: A
Unable to find partition for path '/vendor'
To flash additional zips, please reboot recovery to switch to the updated slot
Invalid zip file format!
Error installing zip file 'external_sd/Galaxy s7 (etc etc etc)
Updating partition details...
..done

If there's any kind of workaround for dummies (I'm new to Samsung) I'd love to hear it! :good:

The file might be corrupted. Or you may have DL the wrong ROM (flat or edge)
Try to redownload your ROM.

Another thought : is your TWRP up to date ?

Looks like your have a rom from the treble project it's a GSI Rom . It's very different from the "traditional" rom install with gapps.

Not really.

Tried to install some of them but none was working.
Only the included EQs in Poweramp and AIMP are working for me.
Would suggest to install one of this Apps till Equalizer is a working part of this ROM.

I updated from version 6.6 via OTA update. Download okay, but the update to version 6.8 wasn't done automatically with TWRP 3.4.0-0. It had to be started manually in TWRP. Is that supposed to be the case?

By the way: Exactly the same OTA update behavior with Galaxy S6 Edge (hero2lte)
