So just to let you know: in the past days I've been busy with another thing called "life", I dunno if u know what's it, but it's a thing that takes u much time sometimes, nor I've been / am / will be paid for this, so I work on it when I want/can. Plus I got about 20 pm (while I wrote I don't answer pm) and 2 or 3 pages on this thread... Thanks for support! It's good seeing people interested in this

EDIT

A gift for u: http://puu.sh/jBjjA.img
What's this? It's a bootimg that will make ur device explode after published your data on a public webpage /s
To sum up: I just had an half hr to give a look at sensors. It's selinux killing some init command that start sensors, but there are no denials on log and this is the odd thing. I will give a look at this when I'll have some more time. This bootimg boots with permissive selinux but switch to enforcing mode when boot is completed. This means sensors will work and u'll have enforcing selinux, but it's not really good on security side , cuz while booting selinux is off (u shouldn't worry to much about it anyway). Also NFC drain should be gone (at least for me). I've limited internet connection so i can't upload a new build atm. For those asking sources: device tree + kernel

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.1.x (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

Code:
#include
/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
 */
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit Gerrit Code Review.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS
We will not support users and answer questions from users which:
  • are running a custom kernel
  • have flashed mods
  • modified system files
  • didn't follow our instructions word by word
  • are unfriendly

WIKI
Official CyanogenMod Wiki: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/cancro_Info

INSTRUCTIONS
First time installing CyanogenMod 12.1 to your Xiaomi Mi3 or coming from another ROM:
  • Read the official Wiki page
  • Unlock your bootloader if you haven't done so already
  • Flash a custom recovery via Fastboot
  • Push GApps (arm) and the CM 12.1 zip to your device
  • Boot into Recovery
  • Perform factory reset
  • Flash the CM 12.1 zip from SD card
  • Flash GApps for Lollipop from SD card
  • Reboot (be patient, "optimizing apps" takes a while)
  • Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
  • Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!
Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 12.1:
  • Push the new CM 12.1 zip to your SD card
  • Boot into Recovery
  • Flash the CM 12.1 zip from SD card
  • Optionally flash the most recent GApps for Lollipop if you encounter problems
  • Reboot (be patient, "optimizing apps" takes a while)

DOWNLOADS

Google Apps (arm): wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/gapps

BUGS
Report bugs for nightly builds at https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/NIGHTLIES. Please keep in mind that bugs are expected on these builds. If you want something stable, choose the Snapshot branch.

FAQ
  • ROOT! ROOT! Give me root or i'll die!!! Where root is???
  • First of all do not flash any supersu/superuser/superman zip package to get root. Go to Settings>Developement Settings>Root acces > Apps Only
  • Are these gapps <insert random gapps package here> working with cm12.1?
  • Use the suggested package
  • Does it support extended partitions?
  • Yes, both original and extended layouts are supported. If you've extended partitions make sure you're running twrp or sr. CWM does not support resize2fs that allows you to get "magically" 600mb on system
  • Why today I got no nightly?
  • There were a build error or it means there's something wrong with the rom and I've choosen to stop nightlies until the problem gets fixed
  • Why is TDB not working / supported?
  • Official CyanogenMod support requies Encryption support. With TDB we can't have an encrypted userdata partition, otherwhise one system will be able to use it and the other won't
  • Why no <insert miui feature here>?
  • Because this is CyanogenMod
  • Will you add <insert awesome feature here>?
  • I won't. If you want submit a commit to gerrit, where it will be reviewed.

The CyanogenMod team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

Sent from my MI 3W using Tapatalk

EDIT: about wifi: u need to add a symlink to wcnss_conf (it's ok if u build all the build).
Device tree and kernel are up to date, I'll merge the fix for sensors in about 10 hrs, then it will be ready for nightlies rollout :)

EDIT 2: nigthlies tomorrow, yup, i couldn't find a better day, after miui 7 disappointment for still being on kk while mi2(s) is on lp, a lot of people will try some real android with lp on Their devices

If no sim bug and wifi bug get fixed then definitely this rom will be solid stable.
Don't know about wifi (seemed to be working on the last test build and on the one before it). About the no sim bug: rooque seems to have come up with some kind of flashable fix which seemed to completely get rid of the problem for people who tested. Haven't seem him posting it anywhere yet so won't be sharing his work but I know it showed up on CM remix thread (android development). Did see him sharing it in a group chat though.
