Just realized this error when in overview...
Says "couldn't add widget"...
Any idea?

I've been noticing this on last couple of nightlies. I'm currently on the latest nightly 04152015 and using F2FS with stock kernel.

Afaik this bug can be workarounded by rebooting into safe mode and then rebooting again.

-------------------------------

We're switching to cm-12.1 today! A stable cm-12.0 release should come soon too!

Here are the new gapps that MUST be flashed after cm12.1 when you upgrade to 12.1 from 12.0 http://d-h.st/BX7Q

You don't have to wipe anything to switch to 12.1, just make sure you update your gapps too

On my Tilapia I cannot find where to edit the apn or switch roaming on and off. I have a cell signal but in the menu where I see the airplane mode toggle, vpn and stuff (wireless networks .. more ..) I see no relevant setting like e.g. on my cellphone. Huh???
Same thing on 12.1.

hi guys, hi @linuxxx

I have a few questions, if you please..
I'm on stock 5.1 ATM an I would like to try CM 12.1 with /data and /cache f2fs to see if performances are better than 5.0 (I really really really hope so, even after installing a bunch of apps and restore my music on tablet, otherwise I fear I will have to revert to a custom KitKat - about that: does someone know a place where CM 11 nightly are still stored? Jankins miss all KitKat builds!!! :( ).

I would like to do something like that:
- flash last TWRP for tilapia
- wipe wipe wipe
- sideload boot the recovery you mention in the the third post -----> puu.sh/g13Tu.img
- F2FS repair /data and /cache
- (reboot into same sideloaded booted recovery)
- flash and flash
- reboot and enjoy

Is all that right? If yes:
1. what kind of recovery is the one you linked us? Is it a special packed recovery or is it just the last TWRP available ATM?
2. if it is a special packed one, that mean neither the latest TWRP have the new F2FS system CM 12.1 uses?
3. what happens when I will need to update the build? How should I update it?

Thanks a lot for paying attention, see ya!

That recovery has the cm kernel but AFAIK (I've not tested myself) "official" twrp now has updated their kernel sources with our so it already has new f2fs patches. This should make the custom twrp sideload steps useless.
Cm supports f2fs on any 12.x build so you will have no problems if you use a supported recovery and kernel

ok thanks..

so.. I'll flash the 04.16 nightly with last TWRP with /data and /cache formatted with F2Fs and then I'll update via OTA to 04-18 one and reboot to recovery..
this should definitely ask all my previous questions, mainly the third one, that is the one I most care, obviously..

I'll let you known ASAP..
thanks a lot, see ya! ;)

Hi all, I have a question is the last update 18 a new version than 12 because last night when I flashed it bad things started to happened, youtube has stopped, android.media has stopped and two three other things has stopped and this messages shows every two seconds and basically I can't do anything on my tilapia?
I returned to bild number 6 which I was previously using but yet again the same thing... What shall I do?

you guys have infected me with the f2fs virus ;)

I'm on 12.1 with current TWRP. Is it possible to make a nandroid via TWRP .. then convert cache and data to f2fs via TWRP .. and flash back the nandroid onto the new format?

I admit I didn't read that much .. but if it's that simple I'd try it out :)

Now I see that on my tilapia is written 5.1 and I have to flash the new gapps, which I am downloading now. Thanks!

Have one more question, does this mean with this 18 update that it will occur again on my htc desire which is running cm12 when I flash the new update? Should I download it again and flash them after updating the phone with the last 18 update?

This link to the "new" gapps downloads a file named "gapps-lpmr1-20150503-signed.zip.exe".
The double extension zip.exe is suspicious.

It seems to be an installer, perhaps for a download tool, perhaps something else. Who knows …

It is possible to get a download for the "pure" gapps….zip without the need to install any crap?

PS: JDownloader2 seems to be the solution.

Here is an alternative link for gapps: https://mega.co.nz/#!4EZzQbxa!Xn5XVV8EXG2TdjRYxSb7_tbRmaD4wax2oVnbbMviv2o

After I have format /data and /cache in f2fs and installed CM12.1-20150418-NIGHTLY, when i try to search a new version., say me that isn't more update but from site i see the update of 19, 20 and 21 april ...
It's normal this ? Means that i can only make manual update ?

A Cyanogen server (where cm builds are hosted) has some problems...
Pick them from CyanogenMod.org/w/gapps

I am getting the same situation. I move the .zip file to the cmupdater folder to try and make it less manual. Hopefully it is picked up in any of the next nighlies.
