Since I have started using CM11 as my daily driver (first nightly for our device), I have had an occasional SOD or screen freeze (once or twice/day). Not a big deal for me. Battery pull and reboot.

However, a couple of days ago I decided to try imoseyon's AOSP lean kernel (T-Mobile version). I have not had one SOD, nor screen freeze since.

In case we are waiting much longer I just wanted to say I clean flashed the 1/30 nightly last night, had been on 1/29 for the last week, 1/30 is running the best I've experienced yet. I don't understand why because there were no major changes but it's a lot better. Battery life is much improved for me and I'm on stock kernel. Just fyi

I can confirm this. 0130 seems to have much better battery life.

2 (24 hour)days use and 7 hours screen on time with 1 full charge. Ready to test a new build and see if it can get better!

You guys have app installs from play store hanging? Like apps not finishing installing until I force quit play store. Only does it with a few apps, but when I uninstall and retry, same results.

I have one or two that do that when I do a clean install of CM11. If I reboot, then the "offending" apps show as installed.

Gmail and Google voice seem to hang for me occasionally. Have to stop and start them again to complete.

I can confirm that gapps have given me issues. Usually the play store force quits during installation and also get an error that the gapp that was being updated at the time has also stopped. But just relaunching the play store automatically finishes the installation without further issue.

Just waiting for my DE to show up tomorrow..... Then my new computer and new computer upgrades to show up Monday...... Then hopefully put out some CM builds for when these ones fail (not that mine won't fail )

Yes.....if they had the Dev Edition of the device, then they could (technically anyone can build, just not test). Problem is that not many people have Dev Edition devices, and even smaller amount of Devs have them.
