Hy All!

This file is an official Droid Rarz M Android 4.4 soak test KitKat OTA update Rom.

This rom is not the final offical 4.4 but very stable,fast and nothing bug in the update.:D

Install instruction:
1.Downloading RSD LITE.
2.Downloading last rom.
3.Downloading 4.4 Rom from the link and copy to SD card.
4.Re flash the last rom with RSD LITE.
3.After flashing successful,you don't booting normal mod.!!!!VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!Please push Power on+Volume key up+Volume key down and rebooting stock recovery mod.If the screen is death don't worry,please tapping Power button+ Volume up key until the recovery menu appears.
4.Go to:"apply update from sdcard"menu and select 4.4 rom.
5.The flashing is start,don't afraid if the phone suddenly restart,4.1 recovery are not fully compatible with new 4.4 update.
6.After restart if you booting normal mod the phone is hardbrick don't will work.
Therefor you booting again stock recovery mod and if the screen is death please tapping Power button+ Volume up key until the recovery menu appears.This recovery mod is not 4.1 recovery this is 4.4 recovery mod!Go to:"apply update from sdcard"menu and select again 4.4 rom.
7.The install is starting and the process successful executed.
8.After successful,you go to and do "wipe data/factory reset".
9.Restart

and enjoy 4.4 the pleasures of what we expected so much.

ERROR " ("\"/system/vendor/app/Amazon_Mobile.apk\" has unexpected contents.")" Cant back to stock 4.1.2 with RSD. Bootloader is locked!

Thanks for the thread. Im wiling to try, but how do you know this is not the last release for KitKat?

Also could someone re-up to a public mirror, Im gonna go out on a limb and say not many people will have a premium account to download this on speedyshare.

That it will be the final version of 4.4 because the test has worked almost flawlessly at this update, and the test result is too absolute positive.:D

Follow the advise/success here.
You will lose root. Safe root will not work. It is a one way path when you are locked. There is no XML to save you if things go wrong.
But you can do it just as the unlocked ones do it.

where is update or soaktest dont see niether or no one can produce proof they exsist so i dont think anyone has it that my opinion so prove me wrong produce it

It's the same file. With the first one you have to fix the URL, since the member providing it isn't allowed to post links, the second still has it's real name. This is not 4.1.2, it's the soak test for 4.1.2 which is 4.4.2.

sorry about you proved me wrong i had other sites saying it exsisted but when i would ask for proof they would become defensive and even resort to calling me names so i deeply apologize except to verizon wireless they keep saying update is out but everybody keeps asking where is it and their answer is its not in their area yet

    Sure:
    downloaded the SBF you're RSDing to
    Saved it to a folder on desktop
    Extract it into that folder.
    (then the trick is to edit the XML file that extracts)
    open the xml in notepad and it should look like:

    the line I've made bold simply needs to be deleted
    then resave the XML (make sure it saves as .xml and not as .text)
    lastly go to RSDlite and point it to the .xml you just edited and use it as normal
    (this involves making sure you have the latest moto drivers, that you have ADB setup, and that you put your phone into fastboot and your computer recognizes it. If you haven't done this before it's kind of another whole process)

    Posting updates on how to use this thru the stock recovery.
    This is how it is supposed to be used:
    1 - Flash LATEST stock SBF of JB thru RSD. (Android 4.1.2
    Blur_Version.98.30.1.XT907.Verizon.en.US)
    2 - After flash reboot phone on stock recovery and proceed to install update from SD card, here select the file that is provided at the begginig of the thread.
    3 - After this first flash completes, phone is going to reboot in recovery again, for you to open the menu of this specific recovery, the combo of the buttons is power + vol up.
    4 - proceed to install from sd card again and select the same file that you selected on the second step.
    5 - Wait for it to finish
    6 - Wipe data/factory reset
    7 - Select restart system, Phone will restart in KK, enjoy guys.

    Keep in mind that you have to follow the explanation at the beggining of the thread or this one, if you dont follow this steps like this, you wont be able to install this update or you wont be able to finish installing the update.

    Got tired of waiting for the OTA so I just followed this on a locked bootloader device and it worked like a charm. Had to delete one line of the xml in step one for RSD to work, but other than that, this summary includes everything. Been using phone for about an hour with no noticeable problems (wifi, bluetooth work, etc.) Thanks everyone!
