Nice sharing for car mount which i am also thinking of getting one to make full use of the tab. As i am using the original samsung tab cover came with the purchase and if everytime i have to take the cover out, mount on car and unmount, put back onto cover seem troublesome.

i had check the both products and seem i have to look for something that able to 'catch' tab with it's cover on. Any senior have bought or seen such car mount?

regards

today just tried using my tab as GPS Navi without any mount. just fold back the original cover and place in an 'A' position with the windscreen acting as the back support. works great, ok view from driver seat. good for < 40km drive esp in vietnamese road.

only thing is when call coming in, the GPS screen is hid by calling screen and a little far to press the back button to reveal GPS again.

Yes, I'm having this car holder which I've bought it almost 2 years back. It's quite robust, it gave very less vibration with the given design, for my older smaller device. I've been using it for my i900 Omnia1, i8000 Omnia2, i9000 Galaxy S. It suprised me that it can swallow my new Galaxy TAB on Day1 I bought my TAB on 11/13. :)

While for my new heavier Galaxy TAB, I had moved the car holder lower so that it could touches my Lancer EX dashboard from the wind screen. Doing it is to reduce vibration or swivelling motion while my car is moving. Also doing it can prevent any big motion that might cause the car holder breakage, hence may resulted even more serious things happening. You know like,

Oh no... my TAB knocked & fractured my head, and blah..blah..blah.. kind of things. :D

I got mine today it feels really solid when mounted but it takes up a lot of room. I'm thinking I might fab something up so it doesn't take up as much of my windshield

Sent from my GT-P1000T using XDA App

In the vain of non-custom holders, Arkon has Tab windshield mount for $20.

Car Home?

The original holder instructions leaflet directs you to the Android Market to download "Car Home Dock".

I've been unable to find that there.

I've searched it and found nothing.

Any tip about this?
