Not for the latest update (08/09/19).
But the previous one was tried with clean flash with no luck. This is why now I'm back to the build from July.
I cant remember when it switched over to the new bootloader and modem, but check you are running the correct ones.

I actually did my own build, I think I caught all of the last commits. It has no boot loops, but as I was just typing this, I just had a random reboot  Remember, this was my personal build and not the official build.

Do we have two different files or the bootloader and the modem are in one (ex. I9506XXUDRB1_I9506XXUDRA1_bootmodem.tar)?
Both are in the single file. DRB1 is the bootloader and DRA1 is the modem.

When I first tried switching over, I had issues with it actually "sticking", even though ODIN said it succeeded . As such, I included it as an explicit feature/test of the following utility. https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-temefi-comprehensive-documentation-t3806260

You can find it in the menu under Current State > Get Selected Properties where "baseband" is your modem and bootloader is obvious.

New build is available 2019-09-08 (Final build)
GPS improved and working fine
Updated camera blobs
Updated media configs
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but, the GPS is not working fine.

In the following screenshot, you can see some satellites are coming up as "unknown" (ie "?"), while our phone only supports GPS and GLONAS,

The following screenshot shows that the GPS gets a fix, but doesn't actually "use" any of the satellites for the fix.
1_Screenshot_20190910-000816.jpg

A few moments later, the GPS loses visibility/connection to the previous satellites for no obvious reason.
2_Screenshot_20190909-161335.jpg

The above issue is the biggest problem. When the phone is stationary the GPS Lock is stable. However, when the phone is used for navigation (ie driving around) the lock comes and goes, making it unusable. The fix coming in and out while driving is really bad.

Testing of the GPS can ONLY be done under navigating conditions.

For comparison purposes, the following is a screen shot of my daily Oreo ROM (also havoc, but using the previous boot-modem) It appears to hook into more satellites, all are either GPS or GLONAS (no "unknown"). Even though the fix is solid when completely stationary, it too has the problem of losing the fix while driving around.

Thats great you are working on 10, however, pie is definitely not dead. Havoc-OS are continuing to make commits to their pie branch. By chance, the day after you did your final build, they actually incremented their version number to 2.9 (same general source, just a labeling, but other fixes are coming through since the increment)

It is great to hear you are working on 10, hopefully that will have a working GPS.:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed: I actually have flashed the stock touchwiz firmware (5.0.1) using the latest boot-modem onto one of my spare phones, and even that does not have a fully functioning GPS:mad:

Havoc pie sources will not update again. Its no big update and have not big changes. No september patch(only changed number from 08-01 to 09-05) cuz google did not update pie sources this month. Gps improved but not fixed in pie (will try in 10). However seems pie is very stable for us.

Not sure what you mean by "stable", as I can see bugs. For example, under "Settings/Havoc Settings/Lock Screen/Clock Widget/Clock Style" if you select one of the analogue clocks, the lock-screen goes completely blank, including the center/upper shortcuts; they disappear.

Personally, I have not upgraded to Pie as it is not as polished as Oreo.

As for the code not changing, it may no longer be getting security updates, however, code changes are definitely coming through Havoc sources as well as the shared code from LOS and AOSP.

The following is one of thousands of projects which make up Havoc-OS Pie. There have been changes made by the havoc team.
