Have you wipe all partition first before converting or flash lOS and convert to f2fs? Please teach me your steps when converting to f2fs.

Yes. If you convert data partition to f2fs, data will be wiped, so you loose all your installed apps.

Start twrp
go to advanced wipe, check data partition and push repair or change file system/change file system/F2FS
Do the same with the cache partition
Go back and do a factory reset
Flash lineage normally

At this point, you can do all things like usually, but if you do a backup, remember that data and cache partitions are in F2FS, so if you change them to ext4 and restore, it will no work and if you have a backup with cache and data in ext4 format, you can´t restore it now.

My twrp version is 3.1.0-0

After 3 days using 08302017 build, i've had another random reboot. It also happened playing a video in Fb. @Anik_khan Question is: how do i have to upload console-ramoops file that I've extracted?

Same here for the random reboots. It happened as well in the facebook app.
Rom was fresh installed, with all caches cleared, latest pico gapps.

It's a family member phone that i updated allowing the use of more recent android apps and improved performance by using android nougat instead of the old Xiaomi EU Lollipop 5.2. Everything seems fine, except for the random reboots.

Any news on this @Anik_khan ?

Thank you very much,
Cheers

Hi,
Although i was talking about de Redmi 3 Pro, the Redmi 3 is identical, except for the fingerprint sensor. Using the same rom, unfortunately you will have random reboots. It's only a matter of time.

Cheers.

As far as i looked into the issue it was related to f2fs kernel panic. I will try to look for a fix.
Hi,
Thanks for the info.

Some details i didn't mention:
Rom: lineage-14.1-20170906
Phone variant: Pro

I assume from your info that the f2fs is causing some kernel panic, when apps (like facebook) try to cache a lot of downloaded data to the filesystem.

Thank you for your efforts looking into this.

Cheers.

But my redmi 3 pro doesn't have f2fs partitons[emoji28] [emoji28]
Anyway, with latest build random reboots seems to be very rare!
Anyway, if you want i can attach my console-ramoops of my former build random reboot.
Apart from this @Anik_khan, I'm in love with tour work, los 14.1 is far the best ROM i have ever tried!

[Solved]
Just did a fresh/clean install on my Redmi 3 (latest official nightly).
All fine, but unfortunately Titanium Backup always force closes on start. Can't get it to work. Tried with built-in SU and Magisk, no success, root works fine. Anyone experiencing the same issue?
Any hint welcome and appreciated, thx!

EDIT: Flashed MIUI9 from scratch via fastboot. Now everything's working!

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.0 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Long time no see? Heh i was busy with some other stuff. Though i managed to prepare sources for official weekly/nightly build. At these point we are going for weekly build because of some infrastructure issue. I updated the thread thoroughly. On this build there is several fixes like enabled Sdcardfs, Both sim as 3g, CVE and some other. Issues like battery percentage goes to 100%-97% after disconnecting charger, LED lagging will be fixed on next build. I uploaded patches for them on gerrit. Nothing more, go and grab the build. :)

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

    Frequently Asked Questions:

    Q) Where are Developer options?
    A) Go to Settings > About phone, and press five times on Build number.

    Q) How can I enable root access?
    A) Go to Settings > Developer options > Root access, and enable it for apps, adb or both.

    Q) I don't like superuser icon in statusbar, can I install SuperSU?
    A) Yes, that would not show superuser icon in statusbar. This can break things.

    Q) How do I update GApps? (Also useful if you have GApps related problems).
    A) Reboot to recovery. Wipe System, Cache and Dalvik Cache. Install ROM + GApps. (Yes, without rebooting). Reboot.
