Hey Anik, great ROM thanks for your work. Can you please add an extra line in your OP explicitly saying that this ROM is NOT compatible with the Redmi 3S? I feel like this has to be explicitly stated (unfortunately). This should hopefully help end the silly questions...

And also update the how to install root FAQ ;)

Good point. Anik is a busy person, and as a community we can help out in other ways. I had a spare moment so I re-wrote the OP - @Anik_khan, just hit reply (so you can see the contents of this post) and copy and paste what's in between the CODE tags over the OP:

Can I suggest to remove the fingerprint sensor model, or add a note that so far is the only one found in redmi 3 pro?
because nobody reported problems relative to having different chip but some get confused that they could have another sensor

Another small change is the status from nightly to weekly

and for what's not working I don't know if could be better to put a link to jira.lineageos.org?

Good points, added that. Anik can add info about Jira in his second post which covers bug reports if he likes.

I think some Redmi 3 Pro devices are shipped with Goodix instead of FPC1020...

Sent from my Redmi 3 using XDA Labs

Yes, understandable, it's just to make it clear that standard Redmi 3 isn't supposed to have a fingerprint sensor support from this ROM (because it doesn't have one :silly:)

On the topic of that though, @Anik_khan my Redmi 3 does suggest in the settings app that I should setup the fingerprint sensor... so probably something there which is causing this as a result of the unified builds

How reliably works SuperSU for everyone on Lineage? I have suspiction it's not 100% working. I saw somewhere separate Superuser package for CM/Lineage but can't remind the URL, can someone pass the link pls.

I flashed the latest lineage os build on my redmi 3 pro and have issues with the camera.
In full screen mode, 16:9 9,7 megapixel the camera is first very bright and then switches to nearly a dark screen so its unpossible to take a photo.
When i change back to 4:3 13 megapixels everything is fine.
    Can anyone confirm this?
Otherwise everything is working great. Thank you for the great rom.

yes seems so far that the build can't find the difference from redmi 3 and redmi 3 pro.

From what I hear there are two different screen and battery, and now also two fingerprint :D
what a mess xiaomi , what a mess...

Does this ROM actually have any camera issues? Last time I flashed CyanogenMod on my Redmi 3 Prime there was overexposing while recording videos on dark rooms... I'm thinking of flashing it and it's the only thing I'm scared about :(

Long time no see? Heh i was busy with some other stuff. Though i managed to prepare sources for official weekly/nightly build. At these point we are going for weekly build because of some infrastructure issue. I updated the thread thoroughly. On this build there is several fixes like enabled Sdcardfs, Both sim as 3g, CVE and some other. Issues like battery percentage goes to 100%-97% after disconnecting charger, LED lagging will be fixed on next build. I uploaded patches for them on gerrit. Nothing more, go and grab the build. :)

      Reporting Bugs
      • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
      • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
      • If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
      • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

      Frequently Asked Questions:

      Q) Where are Developer options?
      A) Go to Settings > About phone, and press five times on Build number.

      Q) How can I enable root access?
      A) Go to Settings > Developer options > Root access, and enable it for apps, adb or both.

      Q) I don't like superuser icon in statusbar, can I install SuperSU?
      A) Yes, that would not show superuser icon in statusbar. This can break things.

      Q) How do I update GApps? (Also useful if you have GApps related problems).
      A) Reboot to recovery. Wipe System, Cache and Dalvik Cache. Install ROM + GApps. (Yes, without rebooting). Reboot.
