Hi everyone,
I have a small issue, the screen doesn't turn on when I get a notification. I set the correct setting in the settings menu but the problem still persists.
Besides, when I install the rom, after the installation there was an option on the left bottom of the screen saying wipe dalvik/cache, should I do that afther the installation? I didn't wipe dalvic/cache, can this be the reason ?
Thanks

Hya,

i have a xiaomi mi 6 with lineageos 17.1 latest build, rooted and magisk.

almost everything works fine, except:

- slow charging.

- by update to latest nightly build, root is lost - have to recover and adb sideload magisk.

- with google assistant enabled (hey google), no voice mesage (whatsapp, i.e) is recorded - mute.

Questions:
- any way to have google asistant enabled and voice messages working? i guess google assistant hijacks the microphone.

- any way to update without loosing root?

Thx in advance!

I flash the latested rom, everything is fine. But when i insert two SIM cards(China Mobile Communications Corporation) ,it reboot constantly, unless i pull out the cards or switch to airplane mode.If the problem can be solved. The following link is zhe logcat. https://file.pizza/download/wtk7g149
I have 2 sims as well and mine does not work either. If you need dual SIM you need to go back to LOS16. If you search on here you'll find that dual SIM problems have been reported before.

unicom+telecom and cmcc+telecom both have been working fine... guess it shouldn't be dual sim issue. maybe specific to 2 cmcc cards?

I have a slow charging problem on the last version. it runs out of charge even when using it while on charge.
Thanks for the report. What type of charger do you use (any quick charge technology?) and was it working on previous builds (if possible before 20210207)?
Is it currently not detecting the charger at all or just charging slow but not disconnecting?

Thank you for your return. I tried it in the previous version. But haven't tried new version yet. I use 33w original xiaomi charger. It was writing fast charge. But charging very slowly. When I try the new version (20210225) I'll get back to you.
Thank you again for your interest.

I second this. I am currently a user in mainland China, also able to call people. But, unable to receive any. This is prevalent on pretty much all custom ROMs except MIUI systems.

After updating lineage-17.1-20210325-nightly-sagit-signed.zip via system settings updater, the system doesn't boot up anymore - it boots into TWRP rescuePary. Tried re-installing the same version and also 2 of the previous versions, but it did not help. Also tried booting with no SIM cards, did not help either.

Uninstalled magisk via TWRP - now it's not booting into TWRP rescueParty anymore, but just keeps booting indefinitely with LineageOS animation.

Also, I've done dalvik/cache wipe when re-installing zips. Did many updates like this before, had no problems previously.
exactly same symptom on my whyred after updating about 2 weeks ago. could you please share if you find a solution, and 20210325 is working fine on sagit w/ magisk

Spend half a day, but finally found the solution which did the trick for me (cc @anderson997 ):
    - Upgraded TWRP to twrp-3.5.1_9-0-sagit.img
    - Uninstalled Magisk using "Uninstalling Magisk using TWRP Recovery" section in https://magiskmanager.com/#Uninstalling_Magisk_using_TWRP_Recovery
    - Downloaded the latest image: lineage-17.1-20210325-nightly-sagit-signed.zip
    - Downloaded GApps: open_gapps-arm64-10.0-nano-20210402.zip
    - Wiped 3 partitions: Dalvik, Cache and System
    - Followed "Installing LinegeOS from recovery" section installing linege OS and Gapps in https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/sagit/install#installing-lineageos-from-recovery
    - I've used `adb sideload` to install, not "Install" via TWRP menu.

And the good thing is that all apps and personal data is still there after all these steps!

could someone explain to me what the marked settings are for?
    s
sabre is a merge method created by google that improves photo quality on some modes. Some call it "super resolution" because of the sharpness/detail improvements. It's used by google for night sight, but some gcam mods also use it for zoomed photos and hdr+ enhanced. Works with the raw10 format (other raw formats may result in black photos).

Sometimes sabre isn't supported by all cameras and google camera will crash after taking a picture. In this case, the only solution is to disable sabre (only available on some mods) and restart the app.
    ns
controls the shutter speed. Long shutter speeds can be used for long exposure photos, but it doesn't work well on all phones and users often report crashes. On the oneplus 3, long exposure times only work with the "pixel 1" model and crashes with other models. Sometimes going a step up or down can help fixing the pink tint that affects some phones.
    awb
the pixel 3 awb (auto white balance) was created by bsg and savitar, and uses pixel 3's colour calibration info instead of the info from your phone. This is different from the colour balance options available in the viewfinder.

Other settings with similar names (pixel 2 awb, google awb, etc) are also included in some apps. Only some gcam mods come with this setting. Usually it only works with one of the "pixel" models and sometimes it can result in pictures that look different from reality (e.g.: Yellow street lights can become white).

Since results may vary from phone to phone and also depends on personal taste, you should do your own tests to see if it's worth using this or not.

Would you mind sharing a flashable miui camera for us here, if possible?
I am working on that, I have a repo to build it on the rom uploaded since some months but making it flashable brings some problems somehow. The APK didn't want to load the device specific features first and now it loads them but instantly closes again, but doesn't crash. I will need some time to figure that out and apart from that I have also got a new phone which steals some time, so please be patient, thank you!

First, thank you so much NeoArian for your hard work and your dedication to perfection. Perfect ROM!

So, I finally upgraded from Lineage 16.0 to 17.1 last night, and boy am I glad that I did the upgrade. it's a fantastic rom.
I always use my builds though as I enable universal call recording, include miui camera and couple other minor changes to meet personal needs.
I was already on the a SAR 16.0 so did not have to flash TWRP or new firmware.

    steps I did to upgrade:

    1) Backup all data
    2) Did a format of DATA (not a wipe) you have to type yes, this is very important step that many are not following in the upgrade process.
    3) Then copied the Lineage 17.1 and open Pico Gapps, installed and booted. after entering my google account information and so on....
    4) Rebooted and installed magisk 20.4 and Vance tube.
    5) Rebooted and installed all the needed software

Google pay is working (tested), Samsung pay is working (tested) via my Samsung wear S3 smart watch, banking apps all working, my Electronic driving license is working.
so far, I have not encountered any issues what so ever, tested bluetooth with 7 devices all checked out. Clocked 70 megs per second with Wifi transfer while restoring my data from my home server.

Anyone still sitting on the fence still undecided if they want to upgrade, my advice is go for it, this is a rock solid rom.

Cheers and thanks again @NeoArian, MikeNG, and the Lineage team.
