I just finished installing the dirty build, and the torch now works.
Sometimes I have the same issue, but I use the official rom. After one or two reboot the issued is solved.
Only one time I turned on the torch with ToolBox and the issued is solved.
I have google camera so I thought this the cause, but you do not have gapps.
I never opened an issue because is not easy to understand the cause.
In about 6 months I've been using LOS, it happened about 5 times.

An aside relevant to building. Without creating the appropriate soft link, I get fail messages of the following kind.

Code:
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /home/<username>/android/lineage/lineage-18.1/kernel/lge/msm8996/scripts/sign-file line 13.
Can't locate Getopt/Std.pm in @INC (you may need to install the Getopt::Std module) (@INC contains: /home/<username>/android/lineage/lineage-18.1/prebuilts/tools-lineage/common/perl-base /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl/5.26.1 /usr/local/share/perl/5.26.1 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl5/5.26 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl/5.26 /usr/share/perl/5.26 /usr/local/lib/site_perl /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl-base) at /home/<username>/android/lineage/lineage-18.1/kernel/lge/msm8996/scripts/sign-file line 13.

Although I have Getopt/Std.pm installed, there is a mismatch (and has been in the past) between my installed version of Perl (e.g., now it is 5.32.1) and the expected version of Perl (here 5.26.1). Although it can be fixed with an appropriate soft link, it might be better if Getopt/Std.pm were to be included in the prebuilts.

Best wishes,
Bob

Hi. I have stupid question. What does this icon mean? It's present all the time and I cant' figure out what it means. I thought it's a system update icon, but updating system didn't make it go away.

It's either showing the actual orientation of the screen or orientation mode you've chosen.
Might be possible to turn off in status bar symbol settings.

My h850 GPS worked fine, until a few updates ago. No signal at all, frome none of the available satellites.
There have been GPS issues before, which could be overcome by installing ROMs in a specific order, but that was fixed some time ago.
Anyway: back to stock Oreo for the time being (on which GPS is fime).

BTW: exactly the same on my LG V20 (h910).

Hey Folks,

I´m new in the Forum, that´s my first post.
I´m looking for help on a BT disconnecting problem for my LG 5 which I´m using since a couple of weeks.
The phone is not recognized by the car till I switch on the screen.
Then it´s permanently disconnecting from the car and immediatly connecting back when the screen is switch on.

I´m using Lineage OS 18.1 with latest update from October 3rd.
Any thoughts and advices what to to appreciated.

Hallo wonzay,

first, thanks for your quick feedack, really appreciated.
Disabeling battery optimization was not helping.
Looks like wakelock is working. But I can only find the option "Keeps the CPU from going into standby", but w/o any connection to bt.??
Not sure how quick this is draining the battery.

What I also recognized is, that the System Profil option is not working with bt as trigger.
I tried to config a system profil for the vehicle. But bt is not accepted as trigger.

Remark:
On my Moto X4 which is also running at Lineage OS 18.1 I have no bt problem in the vehicle at all and can also config a system profil with bt as trigger.

Regards

Because there is no option for bt, only for cpu. Deep sleep mode doesn't work when the cpu wakelock is set. This is temporary solution only, not for daily use. I don't have Los 18.1, so I am not able to help you in the right way.

I just checked my phone. I'm using 18.1 self built on 30 March, with no changes to audio. The phone is H850. I've gone from lineage 14 -> 15 -> 16 -> 17 -> 18. I've never used stock on it.

    1. Playing music or audio books over the speakers sounds fine (given the quality of the speakers). No crackling or distortion.

    2. Recording with the Recorder produces an audio file that is on the low side with regard to volume, but no particular distortion.

    3. Ditto for recording with Open Camera.

    Best wishes,
    Bob

Thanks for all the hard work devs. Any chance/movement on the IR blaster or FM radio on the h850? Two of the reasons I bought this phone heh.
FM may be fixed soon, IR I'm, really not sure whats up :/

If you're phone is misbehaving and you never did Stock updates, I highly recommend doing a full wipe/format and flashing the latest Autoprime's COMPLETE flashable stock packages for your G5 via TWRP (whichever specific model you have)

I've experienced odd issues when using custom ROMs on the G5 that were fixed once doing so. Those full updates made an update to something important to whichever partition (boot, modem, who knows) that later Lineage builds are based off of.
