Hello all.

I was able to flash the device with lineage-19.1-20220913-nightly-evert-signed.zip
But I'm unable to flash it with MindTheGapps-12.1.0-arm64-20220605_112439.zip

It fails on the following:
"This package is for Android 12.1.0 (SDK 32) but your system is Android (SDK )! Aborting"

I'd like to have Mind The Gapps as it is developed by Lineage OS devs.

Before I tried NikGapps-basic-arm64-12.1-20220908-signed.zip, but have some problems with Google authorization. Also before I had problems that Google Play wasn't available.

Can somebody give me an advice? Thanks.

Hello guys,

so I figured it out with LineageOS Recovery (I used to install it through TWRP before). Good manual is here:

Also there was another issue - Google services was unable to connect on Wifi. It can be sorted out by Settings > Apps > Google, Google Play, Google Services, etc. and turn on access to Wifi.

Hello.
First of all, thank you very much for the great work.
I did a clean install of LineageOS 19.1 on my XT1926-8 and encountered some issues like flickering screen, blank screen and no mobile data on SIM 2.

About the lack of mobile data on SIM2 I can confirm. I've switched to another provider two weeks ago and I was trying to have mobile data on both SIMs but only the first slot worked.

Hi everyone,
I installed LineageOS 19.1 a few hours ago on my g6 plus, but immediatly I got a problem with mobile data, so basically I can access to internet just with the wifi, because mobile connection is totally absent.
I've spent some hours googling for solutions (on reddit and this forum too ofc) and tried already to:

-check if APN is perfectly configured
-check if some more basic configuration like internet preferences or limit mobile data
-reset network settings
-factory reset

None of these worked and I don't know what to do anymore.
May I ask for help? Is there something specific to do, like signaling the problem to someone specific?

Which sim slot are you using? Have you tried to put the sim in the other slot?

Reboot to recovery and do a factory reset, should solve your issue. Also make sure to use the copy partitions as stated no lineage wiki instructions

Hello,

Updating my Moto G6 plus from Android 10 LineageOS to this, Can I do it safely or should I first downgrade to Android 9? Thanks!

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

    GPL compliance:
    Working:
    • Camera (and flashlight)
    • WiFi
    • Bluetooth
    • Telephony (Calls and Data)
    • Audio (Record and Playback)
    • Video Playback
    • Sensors
    • GPS
    • Crypto

    Broken:
    • Nothing (?)

I'm a brand new first timer with custom roms and wanted to thank everyone involved here for their amazing work!
After hours and hours of reading/googling I've manged to succesfully install this latest version of Lineage to my old Motorola :)

Just one quick question if I may (couldn't find a definitive answer on Google): does Lineage offer OTA updates on itself? Like security updates?
I ask this because Instagram isn't compatible (yet?) with Android 12.1

    Thanks again :)

Thanks for the assistance. For background, I was coming from the unofficial and upgraded to the official. I believe it was working, but I may have done something (and I don't know what) and it stopped working.

I even tried wiping the system partition and reinstalling - and that didn't help.

I wound up wiping my entire system (flashing back to stock) - and installing the official (including the recommended gapps) - and all is good.

And (by the way) I did reboot to recovery before installing gapps.

Thanks for the help. I guess this one will remain a bit of a mystery (as to what happened) but it is all working now.
It's the annoying part of a release early days XD

I prefer you start clean, but you can try, if you flash mindthegapps as Gapps package, it will be the same as shipped on unnoficial build
