Hello guys! It seems my version of phone doesnt have a recovery partition, can i only boot the recovery to do the installation instead of flashing it?

Seems possible to me, I should have made the same question since I installed LOS 19 on a phone that already had PixelExperience and it all went quite smooth.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

After hours and hours of reading/googling I've manged to succesfully install this latest version of Lineage to my old Motorola
Just one quick question if I may (couldn't find a definitive answer on Google): does Lineage offer OTA updates on itself? Like security updates?
I ask this because Instagram isn't compatible (yet?) with Android 12.1
