@Onesimos89 , I should have read your message before updating. I've run into the same problem. It looks like com.android.phone keeps crashing. You can get a bit of connectivity by disabling the sim pin.

Is it possible to downgrade to a previous version? I don't see an option to format /system and simply sideloading a previous version of lineageos results in an error saying something like "downgrades aren't allowed" (I don't have the exact message right now, sorry)

edit: This is a serious bug which unfortunately is also in the microg version, which doesn't get updated as regularly. Where can I report this to those guys? A downgrade would really help!

Same here : it is not possible to downgrade to an earlier version.
And yes, the problem is linked with the constant crashing of two apps : com.android.phone and LOS settings.
I guess that we should wait for the next update...

Ok so I could install the current official nightly from 2022-05-24. Recovery told me it's a downgrade, but I could accept it and it installed fine.

But now the sim card doesn't get recognized. It's not broken or anything, I have it in my old phone right now.

Hope this gets sorted out soon, it's annoying like hell!

Sorry for not providing logs or anything, I don't know all that much about android development etc.

At one Pixel 2 / LOS19 I could get rid of this message by clearing cash and storage of the "Intent Filter Verification Service" in Apps --> System Apps/All Apps --> Storage & Cache.

But unfortunately on another device this message "Intent Filter Verification Service keeps stopping [App Info | Close App]." appears now nearly after each start of any app. Could not get a pattern out of this. I deleted cash/app storage already twice.

I did on 4 Pixel 2 devices an upgrade LOS18-->LOS19 and only one device is now still problematic. Most of them with same apps installed and without any Google Service or MicroG etc, pure LOS19.

Any ideas what this could be caused and how to get rid of this? Nobody else having this?

Edit: I just found this for CalyxOS, where as a workaround this dialogue is just blocked for this app. Not nice, but helpful. Gitlab Issue. Any chance this could also be commited to LOS, while the root cause is not clear (or is it?)?
Found also this, but also no good solution.

Ok so as a temporary workaround I managed to downgrade to a previous version of LOS 19.1. I use the microG variant, so I reverted to 2022-05-06.

I did this by installing stock by flashing the last image available here https://developers.google.com/android/ota

After that I flashed the last image of LOS 18.1 from microG, which is still available.

Then I installed the 2022-05-06 image of 19.1.

Maybe flashing stock was necessary, maybe it wasn't. But right after stock I couldn't install 2022-05-06, so it looks like LOS 18.1 made the difference.

I can use my phone again! But what to do when a new update comes?

@sekret1 There is a new nighlty of LOS 19.1 as of today. Maybe it works ? I am also under Lineage for Microg, so I will wait for their next update. I prefer not messing too much with the phone to keep my data, I switched to my backup phone and I will be waiting a couple of weeks until the next update of LOS for MicroG.

I tried that last version of official LOS 19.1, but my sim card didn't get recognized. That's actually the reason why I flashed stock, because I wanted to see if there's something broken.

Could be the latest LOS 19.1 recognizes the sim card again, I don't know to be honest, but I'll stick to the first microG version of 19.1 for now. It has some bugs, but at least it works.

I just got my Pixel 2 back and I'm looking for a very stable ROM with good customization. Is the latest update of lineage bugfree? Can I set the side-press to other stuff like torch light?

And what do you mean by "good customization"? It's quite subjective what one considers good or bad. There are other ROMs with much more customization capabilities than official LineageOS. For me personally it's absolutely enough, for you it might not be.

It is stable. No one is filing any bug reports, nor can I recreate any of this. Literally all of this works on both the Pixel 2 and 2 XL in my testing.

If you're having issues like that, did you follow the wiki? Did you format data before you came to 19? What mods do you use?

And logs/bug tickets would help.

But statistically, hundreds and hundred of people are using 19.1 for wahoo and enjoying so it's either an edge or device specific case.

It seems that both @sekret1 and I had the problem with the official build of LOS for Microg of May 26, so the problem may be with LOS for Microg implementation, not with your work.

Installation was fine, I guess I did not make any mistake as the device worked perfectly with their first build of early May. The problem came with their second build.

As I said earlier, I chose not to mess too much with the device and wait for the next build of LOS for Microg, to see if it solves the problem ; if not, I will have unfortunately to wipe my data and to switch to official LOS.

Hello all,

I have successful installed the Lineage OS 18.1 & MinfdTheGapps 11 t my Pixel 2 phone. However I tried the same procedure with Lineage OS 19.1 and MindTheGapps 12.1 and I can boot and use Lineage OS but no Gapps are visible, no PLay Store nothing. The Lineage OS build in apps are working well.

Is there anything else to check?
I used TWRP.

I have 2 identical Pixel 3as, both with LOS + MicroG images, both installed with the earlier May image, then in-place updated to the more recent May image. One of them only has the problem of many "Intent filter verification service keeps stopping" throughout a day, the other withOUT any of those notifications.

One difference is that on one of them I used /e/OS for a few weeks first, then flashed it to LOS 19. As /e/OS is Android 11 based, it could be that by not doing a full factory reset to Google's image (either 11 upgraded to 12 or direct flashall.sh to Android 12) but instead being lazy and just putting Lineage OS 19 on top of /e/OS it is the problem? The phone with the problems is the one that had /e/OS on it previously "lazy upgraded" to LOS 19.

If this is indeed the case, any advice on how to clean up the one with the issues? Do I need to do a full reset or is there something that can be applied or wiped out to clean up the existing install? At this point my son is using it and has all his stuff on it, so would be a bit of a pain to have to reset yet again...

Brief update: after clearing app cache (via Apps --> System Apps/All Apps --> Storage & Cache) for "Intent Filter Verification Service" it has not repeated this popup, so this may have been the only issue. Thanks for the tip above @therob2

If you're having issues like that, did you follow the wiki? Did you format data before you came to 19? What mods do you use?

And logs/bug tickets would help.

But statistically, hundreds and hundred of people are using 19.1 for wahoo and enjoying so it's either an edge or device specific case.

All works well for me. Before flashing 19.1 I formatted both slots, maybe not necessary but doesn't hurt.
Some of the issues some are having are consistent with using a 3.0 port - be sure you use a 2.0 port or hub . All the best.

Good to hear. Maybe you could check, if this is also stable after a phone reboot. I do suspect that it comes back after reboot until again cleaning cache. But have no prove due to lack of test device at the moment.

    Downloads:
    Please follow the install instructions in your device's Wiki page linked below exactly, and make sure your device's firmware matches the required firmware listed.
    • walleye - My unofficial with Google Apps/Pixel goodies included. Passes SafetyNet by default. OTA's roll roughly once a month. Support not guaranteed or implied.​

    nope! that guide is right. Follow it and you'll have a good time.

    However, I personally do reccoemnd lineage recovery, so I'd flash 19.1 recovery then start ;)
