I discovered a minor problem with screen turning and the AOD:

When you set the option to automatically turn the display and the lock screen as well, the AOD will be turned only if the phone has been turned into landscape mode before the lock screen activates.

When you put the phone into landscape mode while the lock screen is active, the AOD will stay in portrait mode.

This is a bit tricky to look at if you have to use a holding device that mounts the phone in landscape mode.

Hey all! The final 19.1 unofficial are rolling right now.

From here on it will be 20 builds for these devices only when it comes to unofficials.

The device will continue receiving official 19.1 for some time, but 20 will launch soon enough, so get ready to migrate using the upgrade guides!

i have a strange issue with the Setup
whatever wifi i select it shows on the botton IP Address Unavailable
and the MAC Adress
(in the settings WIFI i can see an IP though)
so i cant continue this setup step
any ideas?
UPDATED SOLVED
so right after flashing and first boot when the setup assistant comes up i have
to connect to wifi (and do google account afterwards) then it works!

Since last week's nightly update (Nov, 27th) I am experiencing a heavier battery usage: 15% gone in just 4 hours WITHOUT using the phone. No calls, no messages, not even moving it. Rebooting didn't change this.

Did anyone else see this as well?

Since I installed the nightly from December 18th, wireless charging is not working reliable any more. It's the same issue that hit users of the Pixel 6Pro last year and that is described here: charging stops at night at about 70%. I already tried rebooting and the use of another wireless charger, but that did not change anything.

Searching the internet I found lots of complains about this by users of varies Pixel models, but from what I can tell, they all are running the stock ROM and the answers to their questions, including those from Google support, suggest rebooting and charging in safe mode. Is there even any "safe mode" available in LOS?

Using a cable the phone charges normally.

Well, if omniscient Google support says it will help, it has to be helpful, doesn't it?

Could be, but I am sure, it is not, because my phone was never dropped, it was never soaking wet, it was never put to extreme heat or cold. And besides, many users of different Pixel models report the same issue, and they all have one thing in common: the failure happened after an Android upgrade. (See here.) Although those users run stock ROM, while I run LOS, I understand that there are certain OS components being maintained by Google themselves and distributed through their own app store, even when you are using LOS.

So, the question is: is there any possibility that a software bug made it into an LOS driven device that could cause wireless charging to stop at a certain battery percentage?

Don't get me wrong there: I am not blaming anyone, I am merely looking for clues, because as I stated above, even Pixel 6 users running LOS have reported this issue. So there seems to be a connection and even if this issue is caused by Google, LOS developers should be looking into this.

Same way you boot to save mode on stock.

Hold down the power off option in power menu.

The pixel stand app is in the play store I think.

Wireless charging works fine here. Sounds like a stand issue (I have a pixel stand and it is intermittent on every device I own).

No, there's no chance of such a bug, we use the code directly from Google for pixels. Very minimal changes.

That's exactly what I meant: if LOS uses original code from Google, and that code includes a bug made by Google, then there will be a bug in LOS as well.

My theory is this: Google upgraded stock ROM devices and the internet reports suggest that there is something buggy with this new Android version. If LOS uses code from Google that originates from around that date, it is possible that this bug slipped into LOS without noticing.

This is just a theory, it might be wrong. But on the other hand, it's very peculiar that all reports about wireless charging not working correctly are dated shortly after the users upgraded their devices to Android 13. This does not look like unrelated individual cases or tons of hardware issues to me. And the fact that not all Pixel devices are affected might be caused by different chargers.

I think I might have discovered some clue to the wireless charging issue:

When I put the phone onto the charger 5 minutes after I used it, charging does not start.

When I put the phone onto the wireless charger directly after I used it, charging starts like expected, but it stops again after a few minutes.

In both cases the phone's battery is at ~85%. The only difference that comes to my mind is that after a few minutes without using it the phone will be in some deep doze mode, I guess.

Could this be a clue..??
