[OFFICIAL] LineageOS 19.1 for the LG G6

Hi guys,
so glad this project is online again!

Just a question, as the last time I used Lineage was the official 14.1...

I'm trying to sideload the latest 20230522, but I'm stuck on "Verifying update package" on recovery side.
I have correctly flashed Pie bootloader as @LouisLaic suggested, so I think I should be ok.

Am I missing something?

Don't mind, it's classi macOS stuff: it worked fine side loading everything from windows. I will investigate on that in the next days...

Hi guys, my G6 is comeback alive with this rom, i have h872 version, installed this rom with twrp because i always failed in the "fastboot flash recovery" step, the problem right now is the cpu temperature is very high any suggestion guys?

The problem is still draining the battery when surfing the web (the device is still hot). When calling the speakerphone, the sound on the receiving side is very low. can i fix it?

switch to los 18, better battery life n temperature.. ( it still hot but below 50°C, when using los 19 temperature reach 67°C) i also do some diy using thermal paste desktop for my G6, dont do much when the phone is high load but better temperature when idle...

It is not my primary phone, so is there anything I can try to unlock it? I don't mind if it is riskier than normal.

That's sad. Is there anything interesting I can do with it? The only thing I can think of to do with it is just use it like a 2005 mp3 player, since it is stuck on android 7. I don't need one of those.

Amazing they locked one of these models down to the point it never even got android 8 or 9, which is supposed to be the last one it should have standard.

I can only unlock screen and manage call in notyfication in toolbar. It looks like problem with proximity sensor but nothing in my phone is changed and calls worked fine on older versions or stock rom.

It sounds like you are trying to use Google dialer and you installed some Google apps package that is unsupported?

I think so? If I go into the bootloader it has the menu about getting a device ID. If the LG site allowed you to use your Device ID you probably could.

I meant that it was possibly unlockable since you could create an unlock.bin for it if LG allowed you to, but they didn't allow Canadian phones to do so.
