what in the world are you talking about...?
This for example (there may be more in the LineageOS Settings but I don t have time to search, I m just making my point) :
This file is particularly interesting :
Get unique id, get carrier id, get country code, nice...
Yeah I know, they say it s anonymised but if it s anonymised then why do they need those infos ?
Anyway, I see that Lineage is still coming with analytics so I ll pass...

oh my god, man. you are aware that there is nothing hidden here, and it reports the numbr of device installs, which you know, might be interesting. plus, it can easily be disabled.

also that's coming in 2022 from people who probably use google (or google play services), some sort of cloud, unencryped e-mail, whatsapp, facebook, insta, and whatnot. but yeah, the open source community is spying on you :)

nobody forces you to use it, for the rest of us: please back to topic

Is the latest version stable to use every day? Does everything work gps, nfc, location, mobile, wifi, sensors? Bank apps?
Any other feedback?

So far the Rom runs pretty well. All apps work pretty well. I installed the Gapps from nikgapps.com on a minimal basis.

What I'm a bit worried about is, that the touch-screen sometimes doesn't work. It randomly clicks around, when I try to do something. Usually it happens when I want to unlock the phone. I can solve it by turning the screen on/off some times. Anyone has an idea on what could solve the issue?
I'll try to catch a log on that but seems hard.

never had that. the only such problem i am aware of was in the launcher, but that has been fixed.

I installed the latest build yesterday and so far everything looks good. The only issue I found is that the One-handed mode toggle seems to be stuck on active; additionally there's no video loaded in the tutorial area, only a black box.

It's probably something hardware related. And since it doesn't happen too often and I can more or less simply swipe over the screen it's ok.

The switch seems not to be working and I think the setting for the on-Screen-button is bellow. Toggling with the button works fine.

Calls are generally working pretty well. I have VoLTE on, but I don't know if it works. Signal quality I'm unsure but works where good signal is expected. I was able to read out some random nfc-Card.

The buttons in the bottom part of the page work fine and the feature behaves as expected, but it would be good to fix the main switch and video, which look definitely buggy and could confuse less techy users.

Another issue I found - which also happens on LOS 19.x - is that when I use the three button navigation layout and I tap on the one to switch between apps, the task switcher sometimes jumps to a random position in the app list instead of always showing the last/most recent one.

I couldn't find a way to always reproduce this bug, yet, but it seems to happen fairly often when a lot of apps are open in the background. Is this handled by the launcher or by the SystemUI?

guys, i know this might sound weird, but launcher and one-handed mode are the same on all devices. for general problems such as this, remember: lineage20 isn't released yet. once it is an you still have such problems, please use our issue tracker.

what i am focussing on here is device-related problems: calls, gps, nfc, wifi, battery drain, sound, alert slider, camera (not the camera app per se), bluetooth, ...

  1. Link to recovery gives a old recovery, I used the current one inside the rom, but I don't think there is much difference,
  2. It is now using the correct MAC address in the case I don't want use MAC randomization, checked from DD-WRT it is a OnePlus,
  3. Trying to setting the circle icon select the text, selecting again it a second time gives the correct circle icon for the battery icon.
Amazing job, ^-^

new build is up, again with plenty of changes, LineageOS team is hard at work!

regarding banking/paypal: there are ways around this, but i can't support this officially here as it has nothing to do with lineage itself. try looking into magisk and it's zygisk functionality, i am sure google can help you (or other threads on xda), but please not in this one ;)
