everything was working nicely until it powered off. now it won't recognize the inserted sim card no matter what.
with the newest version yeah, check XAD for a Pixel 2 older version of google camera.
Are you sure you're in the right thread? We are talking about lineage 20 here. I don't think magisk even works with android 13 yet.In my case, chaging device fingerprint cause trouble with simcard, also with gcam. I used official version and magisk (magisk hide props config modules), and set Pixel 7 (for explample), due Google Store tried to update simcard and gcam with Pixel 7 version of those apps, obviously didn't work. The best solution in my particular case was block sim updates and gcam to keep native version and tested Google Camera 8.3.252 mod 2.0c by MWP which add some interesting features.
we have no clue :/@npjohnson should people who have the sim card issue expect a prompt fix or do you recommend us downgrading to lineageos 19.1?
let me know if and how I can help debug the issue
I think you will have to flash the recovery image to use recovery mode. "fastboot flash boot <recovery_filename>.img"need some help.
once i restart my phone it restarts in loop.
i have to use "fastboot boot <recovery_filename>.img" to boot the phone.
and i'm unable to enter into recovery mode. The moment i enter in recovery mode it keeps on restarting in loop.
Pffftt. Magisk has been working on Android 13 for months. Are you sure you're in the right thread? We are talking about lineage 20 here. I don't think magisk even works with android 13 yet.
Appreciate the correction. I wasn't able to get it working on lineageos 20, tho, so my point stands
I had it working on 20 without any trouble. I'm waiting until 20 goes official however to switch from PixelDust.Appreciate the correction. I wasn't able to get it working on lineageos 20, tho, so my point stands
This is a known issue for some people - we can't yet figure out why.My phones dies about 20 more times since my last comment and I just want to make it clear I've never had a sim card connectivity issue on your 20 ROM dev! I'm fine with sticking with it unofficial because you made 19.1 too didn't you
The only time I had this issue was a "dirty flash" I always have to go to flash.android.com and flash a stock 11 ROM before I can do anything stability wise! Constantly crashes no sim detection! This is a known issue for some people - we can't yet figure out why.
Go to the original post of this thread, you will see download links for both OFFICIAL and UNOFFICIAL.
work trip, I'll look into it when I get back. No clue what's going on.Did anyone bother to try out every recent build and see which is the latest one that works without a bootloop?
It seems that at least
20230106
20230109
are not working.
@npjohnson I understand that devs are extremely busy people, but how available are you for this project? If you do not have much spare time, could you at least make a working ROM (that is, without bootloops) before you take a break from this project? Much appreciated!
maybe - we'll see - I'll let you all know."taimen - Potentially coming soon!"
Just wondering: will it still come, potentially?
And I do understand the 'unofficial' discussed here (all updates) includes gapps by default, right? No vanilla yet!
Thank you for the wonderful efforts.
it works here - but uh.... you shouldn't need MTG on this ROM. This ROM has Gapps baked in.i'm having trouble with mindthegapps. i followed the instructions given here to sideload it, however, the setup wizard gets stuck on either "getting your phone ready..." (if i connect to a wifi network) or "just a sec..." if i forgo the internet setup.
is this an issue on my end or the rom's? i genuinely don't know, so it can't hurt to ask
- Your warranty is now void.
- You have been warned.
- Use at your own risk.

SELinux is permissive due to a single bug I need to solve.Hey Dev!
Thank you for your continued support of Taimen as this phone still is a workhorse even in late 2022! I can not log into my snapchat as of the latest build, today is 11/17/22 , it says due to repeated attempts or unusual activity your access to snapchat is currently disabled. I reverted to the stock 11 rom and it worked fine! Yes I tried their troubleshooting and support to no avail. How fluently you have 13 working on here Google should still supported Taimen!!!!! Thank you I look forward to and anticipate future builds!!! I flashed back to your rom after testing logging in on 11. Also the SELinux not enforcing thing I am concerned about as well.
it will be fixed in the next build, temporary.I believe all android 13 ROMs are permissive unless someone can shine more light on this. Security is out the window if that's what your after on android 13. Go to arrow 12.1 if you want everything working for safetynet
