Hi @npjohnson , could you also check the call volume please when testing?

I have the volume turned up but it seems very low. Not sure if thats something that can be fixed?

Cheers,

@npjohnson Hi Mate, just installed the latest version of Walleye Unofficial 19th.

So, the playstore is showing not cert but Google Wallet seems to be working. Is that normal?
I thought it at least would show its certified......anyway

Have noticed some screen flicker when scrolling socials. Other than that, it's very snappy and is working well.

ALso, is this medium ok for us to notify you of issues or is there something else?

Thanks again 😍

Certified doesn't equal safetynet.

We pass safetynet.

Yup fine to report issues here.

Since last update, setting services issues.
Not all the time, just reboot and everything seems fine.

@npjohnson the vibration intensity is too strong and make weird noise on LOS 19.1 and 20. Especially when receive chat notification or receive call..
Can you look into it?
One of Android 13's new features is being able to modify vibration intensity in Settings. It's possible that it's at 100% by default.

I have found it to be lower, yes.
I'll monitor and return with more details.
Do you have more details now?

No, and they will keep going monthly.
Hmm... what would make me choose one over the other? I see you're LOS developer. How will your version differ from the official one once it gets released (and in the future if you have plans)?\

EDIT: formatting

Gapps built in and pixel goodies plus bleeding edge device changes.
Thanks for clarification, but I don't fully understand "bleeding edge device changes". Does it mean the official LOS will be stable, while your version will be experimental?

Anyhow, today I gave LOS 20 a try. Here comes, I suspect, the first failed installation of your ROM (and it had to be me... because of course!):

With its custom recovery successfully installed, the recovery screen showed a suspicious spam of errors not mentioned in the guide when I tried sideloading the zip from my computer through USB:
compressed.jpg

Transcription:
Code:
ERROR: recovery: Failed to read 16777216 bytes data at offset [9-10 random digits here]: I/O error
Code:
ERROR: recovery: error: 21

Fastboot shows:
Code:
serving: 'lineage-20.0-20221119-UNOFFICIAL-walleye.zip' (~6%) adb: failed to read command: No error

I pressed Yes anyway, assuming all these errors could be from the verification error. The device ended up stuck on the white Google startup screen with an open padlock and I restarted after 30 minutes. The bootloader shows this:
ERROR: Slot Unbootable: Load Error

By the way, the guide says "NOTE: If you want the Google Apps add-on on your device, you must follow this step before booting into LineageOS for the first time!" but you've mentioned your version included pre-installed Gapps.

EDIT: these errors were being caused by the computer I was using.

Latest build installed : 12/12/2022 on walleye.

When i click an application, i have loss of screen sensitivity for a couple of seconds before it comes alive.
Previous installs didn't have this.

Other than that, everything works great. 👌

@npjohnson
Even when unlocking, either from code or finger print - it sometimes takes a while to 'Wake up'

Also when plugging the charger in, the animation freezes, screen goes black than back to clock. sometimes without the battery % and charging info down the bottom.

    Should be fixed already
Unfortunately, not on unofficial LOS from 9th Feb 2023. Here's a logcat, different format (what's the best format?) including a few freezes. The last freeze was within 5 seconds of the end of the file.

I see the same issue on the latest unofficial build. I haven't tried the official one. Usually freezes for a few seconds when first unlocking or sometimes when opening an app.

If you'd like to send it to me, I have a backlog of about five phones I need to send out to developers soon, I can find someone.
Hi Np, How to get your details? Does XDA have PM? I'll send you my old Pixel 2

Any info as to whether or not the google wallet stuff will be fixed? It's been broken for about a month now and I'm just wondering if I should clean install a different rom or wait a bit longer. I really like the unofficial build and would love if it was fixed!

Hi @npjohnson , I've just downloaded your latest build for lineageos 20.
I'm getting the same Error BootLinux error.
When i follow the guide, it won't allow me to boot into the latest '....20' recovery.

    Thankyou for all your work.

I even tried installing your latest 19.1 and following the upgrade guide. ADB reboot sideload, adb sideload package ....20.

I had the error about downgrading, but after installation, same error at bootloader
Working on it, should be an easy fix.

    taimen works fine

Thankyou @npjohnson , just installed the Latest unofficial LOS 20 13th.
    It ran faultless.

    You are a magician.

Edit: only thing I've found so far is it's not passing safety net. Play store is not certified and wallet won't allow bank card.

Will this, or can this be fixed in future updates? Or do you suggest the Magisk route?
Aware, this build as "Get it out there for feedback" the next several will tune all that stuff.
