Is that when upgrading from LOS19 to 20?ESIM is broken and physical SIM sometimes flakes out - no clue why.

Both upgrade and clean install.
Oooooo.... EXCITING!!!! Thank You!
In the LOS instructions there is an instruction link for upgrade from LOS 19 to 20 - that was the premise of my question.Do you me
Do you mean when a dirty flash on top? I would say since we are discussing the person doing the compiling, my guess would be it's a clean build. But I certainly wouldn't want to speak on the behalf of someone else. I dropped this build down on a spare Pixel 2 and am not using a SIM, but only WiFi connectivity. Notice some of the delays others discuss here. I may drop a logcat and see what other information I can pull.
Gotcha! I've ran dirty flashes with LOS 17 to 18, and then again 19 to 20. Personally, I didn't suffer too may issues. In the LOS instructions there is an instruction link for upgrade from LOS 19 to 20 - that was the premise of my question.
I would clean flash anyway!
Very nice work!
It would have been included, but we are low on space.Very nice work!
Could you explain the differences between the official and the unofficial release?
Is the Google camera included in the unofficial release as it was with LOS 19.1?
Also, version 20 uses a different camera API. You can read more information below. Actually have used it on one of my other P2's and it's not too bad. I still prefer the ported Gcam though.Very nice work!

You're confused - that's not how that works. CameraX is just the backend library used for Camera applications - Google Camera uses parts of CameraX. It also has software processing added by Google. Also, version 20 uses a different camera API. You can read more information below. Actually have used it on one of my other P2's and it's not too bad. LineageOS 20 based on Android 13 is here, bringing new features and a new default camera app
LineageOS 20 is here, based on Android 13, and it has a lot of new features and, even better, a new default camera app!www.xda-developers.com
That´s a pity...It would have been included, but we are low on space.
It's really just a few pixel apps.
I dont. Sorry.That´s a pity...
Do you have any recommendation where to get a google camera for LOS 20 or your LOS 20 unofficial?
no clue on the freezes - they don't happen here in the YouTube app.@npjohnson I'm guessing you haven't seen my previous comment and I've made some logcats in the meanwhile. I have 4 issues:
For some reason, when I watch YouTube (to be more specific, in Free Adblock Browser in landscape mode), the smartphone will freeze indefinitely and never unfreeze until a hard reset.
What makes this peculiar is this: the screen stops refreshing, no buttons work, you can't even lock the device or do anything, but videos keeps playing normally behind the frozen image, videos buffer and switch to the next one, with sound. You can listen to videos like that, but... as mentioned, the screen never, ever updates until a hard reset.
In this folder you'll find 4 logcats of 2 occurences titled "hard freeze" (2 different logcat modes for each) which I took while the screen was frozen: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/2/folders/1-6g0OOtdpiABCMLeyKYx8QN1CXH0KPKW
Most of the time when the device has been locked for some period of time, the screen freezes for 2 to 3 seconds on unlocking. In the same folder as linked above there are 2 logcats of 1 occurence named "unlocking freeze" in which the screen was frozen for about 3 seconds, 1 second after unlocking. I took both logcats several seconds after the freeze.
The newest TWRP won't work with this ROM. It always shows 0 MB of storage space (I'm guessing it won't mount any partition) both in `fastboot boot` and in `fastboot flash recovery`, so a nandroid backup can't be made. Is it possible to make a nandroid backup at all with this ROM?
Is KeyStorage API working and up to date? The KeePass app asks about this.
Thank you.
I noticed that sliding down the notifications using the fingerprint sensor works during these 2 - 3 seconds.@npjohnson I'm guessing you haven't seen my previous comment and I've made some logcats in the meanwhile. I have 4 issues:

I've just realized I can pull down the notifications the usual way, without gestures, during those freezes.I noticed that sliding down the notifications using the fingerprint sensor works during these 2 - 3 seconds.
I don't use the YouTube app at all, for that matter (FAB blocks ads on YouTube videos without root access).no clue on the freezes - they don't happen here in the YouTube app.
Maps relies on Google Services I'm pretty sure. Wouldn't expect that to work.I upgraded smoothly from LOS19.1 to LOS20. For both I had and still have the problem, that Google Maps (installed form AuroraStore; no GAPPS installed) won't find a GPS position, although the green sign in the corner indicate location access.
Only if I run apps like OSMAnd or GPS-Test (both working well on same device) for a GPS fix some seconds before, Google Maps finds location and can be used for navigation. But switching off device for some minutes same again: Google Maps won't find the location without the help of one of the other apps.
What is the reason for this? What is the difference of the apps principle of accessing GPS location? And how I can achive a working Google Maps fix on google free LOS20 on Pixel 2/walley?
I see the same issue on the latest unofficial build. I haven't tried the official one. Usually freezes for a few seconds when first unlocking or sometimes when opening an app.Unfortunately, not on unofficial LOS from 9th Feb 2023. Here's a logcat, different format (what's the best format?) including a few freezes. The last freeze was within 5 seconds of the end of the file.

Working on it, should be an easy fix.Hi @npjohnson , I've just downloaded your latest build for lineageos 20.
I'm getting the same Error BootLinux error.
When i follow the guide, it won't allow me to boot into the latest '....20' recovery.
Thankyou for all your work.
I even tried installing your latest 19.1 and following the upgrade guide. ADB reboot sideload, adb sideload package ....20.
I had the error about downgrading, but after installation, same error at bootloader
Aware, this build as "Get it out there for feedback" the next several will tune all that stuff.Thankyou @npjohnson , just installed the Latest unofficial LOS 20 13th.
It ran faultless.
You are a magician.
Edit: only thing I've found so far is it's not passing safety net. Play store is not certified and wallet won't allow bank card.
Will this, or can this be fixed in future updates? Or do you suggest the Magisk route?
Certified doesn't equal safetynet.@npjohnson Hi Mate, just installed the latest version of Walleye Unofficial 19th.
So, the playstore is showing not cert but Google Wallet seems to be working. Is that normal?
I thought it at least would show its certified......anyway
Have noticed some screen flicker when scrolling socials. Other than that, it's very snappy and is working well.
ALso, is this medium ok for us to notify you of issues or is there something else?
Thanks again![]()
