Does anyone know how I can disable the light on the top right (picture point 5)?
This shines with me continuously...
According to the manual it should be a proximity sensor.

THANK YOU!!If it is on when charging you might be able to disable that in the battery settings but if it is on all the time something else may be wrong or there may be a 3rd party modification. Even if the RoM does not use the LED for notifications (stock does not, IDK about LOS) if it is used for charging there should be an option to disable it.
As to the documentation, the Motorola manuals are inaccurate, or rather they are inaccurately interpreted by Moto customer service. There is a sensor near that spot but there also is an LED. Many Moto models have such an LED and the LED on the G7 power is larger and brighter than most. The LED is not advertised as a feature because Moto intends for them to serve only as sign of life (quick light pulse when power button is tapped while device is powered off) or battery charging, but it can be used for notifications on rooted devices with the app LightFlow.
I think you should have flashed Gapps before booting. The LineageOS Updater crashes for me too but I've had success twice now by clearing cache and data from that app and then running the download and install again; it seems to do everything ok after that, but doesn't prompt for a restart afterwards (which will be required). On G7 River...Just tried the Lineage updater with todays build, and the updater seems to be crashing. It will download the build but when I try to install the OS update the app will crash. So I went with the ADB sideload of the build and it seemed to update the OS OK but after rebooting then Google Play services kept crashing. I then ADB sideload the Mind the Gapps package again to see if this would fix the Play Services crash...and it did but now Google Play will launch but it thinks I have no internet when I launch the app. , Firefox seems OK when I load a web page, so I do have a connection, but all google apps seem to not think I have a connection.
Any advice? Anyone else seeing this? Did I screw something up doing the sideloads in the sequence I did?
What do you mean for camera apps problems? Are you using the latest build? Because I am using the 8 jan build and everything works fine. Are there any problems with new update?I think you should have flashed Gapps before booting. I'm still struggling with all camera apps but I think a factory wipe and fresh install of the ROM will fix that when I find the time and motivation to do that!
Every camera app I've tried is unstable. Glad to hear yours is all good. I think my issue is because I was using a Pixel GCam port on Lineage19 and have some config files missing because of sideload to 20. Full wipe is my planWhat do you mean for camera apps problems? Now I discovered these problems. Every camera app is glitching if I open it in the first 30 sec after the unlock. If I open it after 30-40 sec everything works fineEvery camera app I've tried is unstable. Glad to hear yours is all good. On my G7 Power (ocean), I updated to the first official build of LOS20.0 from the final official build of LOS19.1 as per the official instructions. On G7 River...Just tried the Lineage updater with todays build, and the updater seems to be crashing. fastboot --set-active=b
. Then I rebooted to recovery and installed LOS20.0 (Jan 14 build) again to the other partition. Rebooted and now the updater app is working)I am having the same problem.Hello, after I updated my Moto G7 river to the latest version (https://mirrorbits.lineageos.org/full/river/20230129/lineage-20.0-20230129-nightly-river-signed.zip) today, I no longer have WiFi. I can activate it, but no network is found anymore and the module then deactivates itself again. Before that I had the problem that at some point the network no longer automatically registered itself in the WLAN and the G7 was only on the Internet via mobile data. Unfortunately, with the latest update, I no longer have WiFi at all.
It's fixed, it works fine.Saw a new build show up in an update notification today. Has the camera problem been fixed? I'm waiting for all major functionality to be gtg before upgrading from 19.1.
What's funny here - I've changed nothing whatsoever.
- Your warranty is now void.
- You have been warned.
- Use at your own risk.
It's fixed. The last version had it broken, and was pulled.someone is testing the latest version for river? since the previous version did not work the wifi
Follow this guide exactly. As I'm feeling a bit blank today and have so many phones I root over the years, but still becomes crazy decipher whats what. I need to ask a simple question. I'm on official 19.1, and from what I've read on official LOS guide...I cannot simply flash v20.0 OTA over 19.1, but need to sideload this once?
I assume magisk works too, but with a few steps too. The 19.1 procedure was always quirky, having to extract boot.img from the LOS ROM using python. Is that still the same?
Any further tips before I attempt this. I assume LOS recovery can do a backup, just in case?
I rather use twrp but the built in recovery with OTA makes it easy, especially as this phone is my sisters and I have to juggle several phones with LOS/Roms
