Official miui released 2.12.7 jellybean

mine says android version 4.1.1 but in pictures it says 4.1.2.
miui versions says 2.12.7
Can anyone help me please ?

I believe (and i'm speculating here) that the official miui ROM is based on 4.1.1 since the 4.1.2 wasn't officially released yet by samsung. The screenshot were it says 4.1.2 is yure's version which is based on cm10 (no TW features, no SPen features, mainly a bigger sgs3).
Now that 4.1.2 is officially released by samsung, hopefully future miui updates (official miui not yure's) should be based on it and should have new 4.1.2 features implemented

EDIT: Oh! and about the 2.12.7, it's the universal miui build number where 12 is the month of the year and 7 is the day of the month. Miui usually releases updates every friday so next version would be 2.12.14 unless i'm mistaken!

The screenshop u saw was from yure´s build, and that one is based on cm10 (4.1.2)
And that one u are running is the official Touckwiz based MIUI!

This the worst MIUI release I've tried by a long way - and I write as a fan from SGS 1 & 2 & 3 days.

The Sammy stuff is random - smart stay works, S-pen just. Camera and browser as they should be. But no screen-shot-via-swipe, motion functions seem to be FUBAR, multiview seems totally random, wifi drops out, RAM is a joke - I stripped everything and still running at 1,28 GB on startup - and the battery is draining quicker than my intestines after a vindaloo.

As always, loving the BAT theme. But this isn't close to being a daily driver.

I've enough experience with MIUI to know it will get better. And I've enough experience to know that this release is a piece of **** and that they will and must do better.

Please don't flame children - I sincerely hope your experiences are better than mine. I'll try again in a month. At least.

i have extremely different results. battery life up to 3 days. screenshot via home+power or notification bar (which you can even bring to foreground in full screen apps), multiview works as if it was a sammy rom, no wifi drops and RAM, hm withought having stripped everything normally running at 950mb.

I'm using it as a daily driver even though i normally flashed once a day. guess you are settling once you are getting older

Thanks for your reply. Good to see more positive experiences, although I don't think I'm alone (one thanks already, where's the champagne...). I stand 100% by everything I said though. MIUI have always nailed it eventually - except for RAM - and I hope they can eventually deliver the goods. Their problem is that they're working with the best stock ROM they've ever had, so they NEED to up their game. This release didn't do that.

I'm on this official miui rom for a few days now. I'm hesitant to flash to other rom because everything works flawlessly... battery life is good for me too. The rom is also very stable and for those that doesn't want to flash gapps, you can always download Google play store from the miui market.

The month view in the default MIUI calendar app sucks... I'm using a third party calendar now, but I miss the S Planner!
