Thanks. I manage to get the phone completely restore found a verizon program that fix the phone up. Still trying to figure out if I can root this phone or not... -.-
Well it definitely can be rooted because I sent you a screenshot showing I'm running Resurrection remix. Make sure you have BusyBox installed and install the unlocker APK and then when it comes to the end you hit yes in the phone is supposed to shut off and then when it turns back on it should say custom but if it doesn't try it again because it took me two times to get mine to unlock. Then I installed magisk and then I installed flashify how to install TWRP image.

Oddly when I put busybox its not asking for permission to access root stuff so that don't work. As for the very first posting of this whole rooting thing. Try that and when I type in SU saying cant be found then when I type the rest of the stuff just say operation not allowed. -.- Im feeling a bit hopeless on trying to root this phone now. Feels like ever since I did the manufactor to get the phone up and running again that its not the same anymore :S

Here my screenshots of the phone I have. Unable to root the phone. And by doing all things on here no luck even after installing the few apx files. :S
I think you're on wrong firmware. I think you need to be on OFI if I'm correct. That's where I found that firmware file was in that forum.

Also you might wanna try BusyBox from JRummy apps. I'm telling you though I got it unlocked after 2 tries. It really wasn't hard. Find the OF1 firmware and use ODIN to flash it.

I don't understand what's going on. I followed what the thread said and on the second time my bootloader was unlocked then I installed magisk.

I don't understand either this SU thing shows up even on the first page saying not found. So something gin the phone has no SU Access and how to get that in the phone to do everything else you state is unclear to me at this point. NO SU access. No rooting.

Well maybe you could ask a few other people how to get root access first. It's been about a year since I did this. All I have is my note 3 running on Wi-Fi. I don't use it or anything. I have an S5 and a note 3 both just my mess around phones since you can't seem to root newer phones anymore. So I can't exactly tell you how I got super user rights but the proof was in my screenshots. My bootloader is unlocked and I am running Resurrection remix with magisk installed. So maybe ask a few other people in this thread on how to get root access to run the SamsungunlockerN3.apk.

Thanks for responding. I just wanted to see if I could get android 10 on it for the fun of it. My main phone is a iphone. So its not like I need the note 3. Just thought it would be fun to tinker with to see what Android version I could put on it. Once again I do appreciate the time you took to reply to my responses on trying to help. Greatly appreciate that.

No problem. That's the only reason I keep my Verizon note 3 in my Sprint S5 is mess around with by rooting and flashing ROMs since almost all new phones can't be rooted. I just recently had help and getting my OnePlus 7 Pro bootloader unlocked so I have a newer phone to mess around with now.

So I have a rooted note 3 with unlocked BL and TWRP, what I'm trying to do is get to a Stock based 4.3 ROM, but all the ones I see here are for safestrap and I can't get them to work in TWRP nor find one good for TWRP.
Is what I'm trying even possible? Do I just need to break out the root kitchen and make one from stock?

Does this work on a rooted device with safestrap? (I used safestrap back when there was no unlock method). I have a custom 4.4.2 rom flashed to the stock rom slot with safestrap. I ran the commands, it backed up the loaders and by all accounts completed successfully. But when I try to flash TWRP using their official app, it fails. Any ideas on how to proceed?
