wlan-tethering working here
I never tried USB tethering in my life, so i cannot comment... But i have successfully used WiFi tethering last weekend with another phone. I set up the AP (WPA2) and the other phone connected immediately with no issues at all.
I was on 3G/LTE, not sure which one.
Unfortunately, I was not able to use the ROM with stock kernel for more than 2 minutes. It reboots and overheats like crazy. My procedurestock kernel. working fine here
Unfortunately, I was not able to use the ROM with stock kernel for more than 2 minutes. It reboots and overheats like crazy. My procedure
>Installed twrp 3.0.2-1 through ODIN
>Wiped cache, data and dalvik 3 times.
>flashed RR ROM > Then flashed gapps (pico) without rebooting or wiping
> Then rebooted, 1st boot had completwd after like 10 reboots and phone was overheating so I had to cool it down.
> After 1st boot configurations, reboots continuously like every 2 minutes.
> Went to recovery and flashed purify kernel WITH NO WIPING ANYTHING. >Bootloop till Samsung Logo (didnt even load boot animation of RR)
I have tried lots of different packages of gapps pico, nano, mini and stock. I have checked md5 values of all files. Am I missing something here? someone told in comments about SU being the cause of reboot . What is the correct way to flash this ROM in N9005 ?
I only wipe when installing a new full rom (clean install)...
I have TRWP 2.8.7 (latest reported working with Aroma installer, needed to install Phronesis i was using before).
What i did:
- reboot in recovery
- flash [Hlte][Purify][02.02.17][LA14.1].zip --> boot loop
- boot in recovery
- flash [Hlte][Lss][02.02.17][LA14.1].zip
- boot properly (i don't remember if it took a bit longer than usual or not)
Maybe i will try again, maybe not, after all... it's stable and working propely with LSS now... (i was also using LSS on Phronesis rom that's why i choose it as second option)
I have tested it for you. It works with purify Kernel.
1. Install ROM and slim gapps
2. Reboot and do first setup.
3. Reboot to Recovery an flash purify Kernel without wiping anything.

I just tried that. Only difference was OpenGapps (Mini).
1. Install ROM and open gapps
2. Reboot and do first setup.
3. Reboot to Recovery an flash purify Kernel without wiping anything. [Hlte][Lss][02.02.17][LA14.1].zip
4. Saw a glimpse of resurrection logo and reboot bootloop.
Is the OpenGapps causing issue :silly: or I am missing something silly.
just wanted to share my experience too. I moved from Phronesis ROM based on Note7 (MM 6.0.1) to this amazing rom. The main driver was having lost my s-pen and noticing only after a few weeks... so, why stick with a TW based rom? Switched... and now i am really really happy. This rom is great, thanks to the efforts of all!
A few notes:
1. GPS: i live in Italy, and the GPS is super super fast and precise. Compared to the Phronesis rom, it's night and day. And i have NOT flashed any gps.conf file
2. Kernel: i had a few random reboots on stock kernel, tried Purify (got boot loop!), then switched to LSS kernel (LA14.1), and not only it's super stable but ALSO battery life is amazingly longer
3. NFS: removed the system app as indicated, but i don't use NFC so no problems
As a suggestion, also given the huge amount of posts with reboots and kernel issues, the dev should change the "default" kernel or at least provide inside the image another one... Maybe an aroma based menu.
And, at last, a question... How to flash the Purify kernel which seems so good? I tried, but i got a boot loop... i found some reference in the thread about something to do, but i could find any actual instruction on how to do it!
Keep up the amazing work!
This have something to be whit the pixel launcher. Idk why but the main screen of pixel launcher is on the left of the launcher. The lock screen take this as a main screen. The only 2 fixes areI decided to play around with this ROM a little bit just to use AOSP for a little while, and this runs great. Only problem I have is very minor. I can't get wallpapers to center correctly on the home screen. I've turned off scrolling wallpaper but the image still moves to the right after setting it. If anyone knows a fix for this let me know. Thanks!

That's weird because my main homescreen is to the right. That's why it moves the center of the wallpaper over there. I'll try using the 16:9 aspect ratio and see what it does. I use PicSay Pro on my phone to edit pictures. But most of the time I do graphic creation and editing with GIMP on my computers.This have something to be whit the pixel launcher. Idk why but the main screen of pixel launcher is on the left of the launcher. The lock screen take this as a main screen. The only 2 fixes are
-set the wallpaper as homescreen and lock scren. In that way the lockscreen wallpaper moves like the homescreen wallpaper.
-the other option is to crop the wallpaper to 16:9 so when you set it to the lockscreen it cant move. I make this to use diferent wallpapers in lock and home screen
Recomend to use snapseed to crop the picture because it dont reduce the quality like the croping option on android gallery

Im finally able to use RR with stock kernel but overheating and reboots still present. Can you tell me which software you used for adjusting CPU voltage ? Is it synapse ?just flash it with twrp 220.127.116.11 or any other recovery, dont think that this is a cause for reboots.
i had reboots myself but changed voltage as follows:
499 --> 750
576 --> 760
652 --> 780
rest no change. maybe this helps. for me this rom (latest version works perfect - after uninstalling nfc thing as suggested from rom-developer lord eko
hope this helps.
