Thanks! The last time I was using Omni ROM was back in 2013 on my Nexus 7 and obviously a lot has changed since then. There are loads of cool new personalization options to discover.
It works well with last vendor image. But you will have a warning at the start of the system

Sorry, I don't LTE version of this tablet and therefore have no way of testing it so its not supported.

I'll try to update this within the next week or so that that this doesn't happen. There are some upstream merges that need to be done.

No add DocumentsUi File Manager?
It's there, the app in the drawer is called "Downloads"

Is this ROM rooted? Or can I enable root access somewhere in settings?
The rom is not rooted out of the box. You will need to flash some version of SuperSU for root to work. I don't root my devices so I don't know for sure what works best. Hopefully someone else here can answer that for you.

I'm new to omni and haven't been able to figure out if it supports this or not...

..is there any way to customize the navigation bar buttons? I usually like adding the menu button and an app list shortcut.

Thanks!

Not right now no.

Quick question here, has anyone tested if Netflix works flawlessly on Omni? On Lineage it fails to start playback. Thanks.
As long as night mode is turned off it shoul work. I thought it didn't work (only audio and subtites) but turning off night mode made the video work again.

Thought I would post about my experience after flashing OmniRom 7.1.2 from 4/10 (latest as of post)

Things to note: I always flash latest stock before a major ROM change, latest is https://developers.google.com/android/images#volantisfrom Google is 7.1.1 N4F26X from April 2017

Very first Issue: First boot and upon reboot you get "Android System" letting you know vendor image doesn't match and to flash NMF26F vendor image.
Upon checking that vendor image out, its 7.1.1 NMF26F from December 2016 and is 4 updated revisions behind.

Dunno if this can be fixed easily, just thought id post my experience so far, will update once I have more time to play with it.

Can I go from the official omni-7.1.1 to the official omni-7.1.2 without doing a full wipe? Or is a full wipe recommended for this upgrade?

I tried to install this ROM with F2FS but it would never boot up. I wonder if its unsupported or is just some partitions that may have support for it?

With the latest Weekly build of June 18, the kill app back button does not work anymore. It used to work with the May build. The previous build that dates from June 04, has the Kill App back button working fine.
