So, finally we got Marshmallow.

Excuse my ignorance, but i am a bit confused how to upgrade from CM. Without bothering anyone, can you eplain how to update safely?

From what i've read the are the steps:

flash stock recovery via TWRP
flash OOS 2.1.X first
flash OOS 3.12 now
flash TWRP v41 by eng.stk via fastboot for future upgrades or kernel istallations (this step is optional)

Is that right?
is it necessary to flash OOS 2.1.X first?

I read on the OnePlus forums that a lot of people were having issues with Play Store and Whatsapp. Anyone experienced anything like that here?

First time I flashed I had problems too. After reboot updates for clock, web view and others were gone. And WhatsApp permission too. When I reflashed everything works fine

Look's like OnePlus finally released the Official MM releases of Oxygen OS. Following the last Community Build, its OOS version 3.1.2.

It seems like a quiet release of a rather big marketing point for OnePlus, seeing that there is no flashy blog or forum post deviating from OnePlus' usual tactic. But all that aside, all that matters (to most of us) is that its here, finally.

    Well, go get it then.

You must clean flash, as this is a major release and a big update.

    Some quick links :

    - Stock Oxygen OS Lollipop Recovery
    - Official TWRP Recovery
    - eng.stk's blu_spark TWRP for Oxygen OS 3
    - SuperSU for Oxygen OS 3.x
    - Mega Unbrick Guide for A Hard Bricked OnePlus X

EDIT - According to reports, the build is flash able by eng.stk's modded TWRP & OOS 2.x recovery.
Both are linked above, you can either flash them by fastboot or by TWRP img flashing mode.

EDIT 2 - OnePlus has officially addressed the update ! Here is the Forum post about the official announcement :)

    As the post states...
    Attention:
    • Users with versions 2.2.3, 3.1.0 and 3.1.1 can OTA DIRECTLY to 3.1.2 without having to flash back to previous versions.

I, personally am more hyped for the updated kernel sources, lets see what OP has in store for us. :)

    Screenshot Spoiler ;)

Anyone knows if Substratum Legacy works with MM OOS? I know layers didn't work quite well with it, but maybe Substratum yes

On 3.1.1 i tried some subs and they were working pretty fine :)
