So I've fixed the stuttering and the update is working quite smoothly, but nova launcher doesn't work with this update for me. I've tried already a few things, but it doesn't work.

So when I get in nova launcher the notification panel goes down by itself, when i get into the appdrawer it happens again. This goes on and on. It is a Nova launcher bug because this ain't happening on the other launchers. Does someone have the same problem?
No problem here with Nova. You may want to wipe and clean flash ROM.

I had the same problem as you. Solved it by resetting Nova Launcher to default values in Nova Settings - Backup/restore. Then set up Nova from scratch. If you have a complex setup I recommend you to take some screen shots before resetting Nova.

I don't know, I will try that if the following solution doesn't work for me.

May I know what this stuttering issue you solved was? I think I have some stuttering issue now. It's not just Nova Launcher every app seems to be affected. Cannot even scroll through web pages without it stuttering. I just updated to 5.1.1 which is when the issue started. I am on Magisk 16 and ElementalX kernel.

I don't have any problems.
Nova Launcher, 5.1.1, Magisk 16.4, Boeffla Kernel. For web sites I use Chrome, and no issues there either.

I'm rooted with magisk and I've got Xposed installed, I follow the procedure but in 5.1.1 lots of apps fc, camera, Facebook, Gmail, ING, Twitter...
I also have tried with clean install and restore apps with Titanium backup with the same luck, amor I doing something wrong or this update messes with everything?

Hi Funk Wizard,

Post upgrading my OnePlus 5 to 8.1, I find that I can no longer log into a few Public WiFis (where I need to accept terms and conditions in order to connect). I get a 405 Method not allowed message. I can login to the same Wifis using my OnePlus 3T seamlessly. Often, my OnePlus 5 displays "a page not available" message for these Public Wifi Terms and Conditions pages. If I try multiple times, then the page with an Accept or Reject button appears. When I click Accept, I get the 405 method not allowed message.

I did clear the cache post the upgrade. I upgraded when the update became available on my phone (no, I did not post multiple times when the update be available message on OnePlus forums :))

Any idea why would this happen please ? Or would you be able to suggest anything that might help me.

Thanks,
