I have a lot of drain in idle. Even with WiFi off. And whatsapp messages delay is still there.
I'll just flash back 4.5.7 or 4.5.6 , those were working flawless for me.

Do we need to submit a bug report for the WiFi idle drain /driver/binary issue or are Oneplus already working on a fix for it for next ota[emoji23][emoji848]

Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Yes you may, the more we report the better it is and it will come on priority, thanks [emoji106]

Every time I install a new update, I get the set_policy_failed: /data/misc and the installation goes into a bootloop into TWRP. I had to do a factory reset twice now to fix this. Does anybody have any idea where things could be going wrong?
Decrypted ?

Have 4.5.8 installed. Not rooted. Phone does not seem to go to sleep. Android system keeping it awake. See attached. Awake time is over 3 hours . That is with screen on time of 30 minutes. Any suggestions?
Try a factory reset if possible or wipe cache from recovery and test with backup off for a few battery cycles and

I guess I should stay on 4.5.3, that keep awake doesn't seem fun at all.
Your pick, I personally do not have any issue on the latest

Updated from 4.5.6 to 4.5.8.

Idle consumption remains the same - about 0.3% per hour.
Overall no ill effects. Running smooth and good as were on 4.5.6.

Did not test EIS on 4k movie yet. Don't terribly needed.
Thanks for sharing your feedback [emoji6]

No data get wiped. Flash full zip and root right afterwards, then boot into OS.

Is oneplus still rolling out the OTA for other regions?

I'm in Portugal and it still didn't get here :)

Yes I know, I can use VPN or flash one of the files of the OP, but I don't mind to wait for this kind of things.

Yes the update is still getting rolled out in stages, if all goes well you should receive it latest by Wed/Thu or you always have the option to flash it manually as described on the OP

Since the 4.5.8 Update I have quite a few Push Notifications problems, till 4.5.7 everything worked just fine.

First I didn't get Telegram messages, then no notifications from another app, now no Gmail notifications. I think other apps I don't use as much don't push as well. I only get the messages when I open the app.

I don't wanna do another Hardreset till a big update (4.6). Any others having the same problem? Any solution?

And since 4.5.7/4.5.8 my battery life has gotten a little worth. I travel a lot and the device is in standby time with often not so good reception and before 4.5.7 battery life was great, not it's "only" good. DOT is useless here as standby with not great reception is ofte a drainer. But it was better with 4.5.6!
Since the update to 4.5.8 my Bluetooth shows as always connected to my car. Someone with the same issue?

Ok guys, i need logs and it looks like too many issues all of a sudden so i am going to post a detailed post about how to take logs, give me half an hour for this, thanks for reporting :fingers-crossed:

No loss of data, it would just be a dirty flash so all apps and app data would stay. Follow the instructions post on the OP :good:

[How To] Take Log's on OOS/H2OS | Oneplus Logkit | Bug Reports

Hi All

To begin with let me Thank You All for your Active Participation and Feedback on Cheeseburger OOS Updates. We are trying to introduce new features, optimize the software and eliminate the bugs for a better user experience, making OOS/H2OS the Best Optimized OEM Rom :highfive:

In order to do this we would appreciate regular feedback/bug reports/logs from our users to diagnose issues and rectify them :good:
I see that although users are able to reproduce various issues, however very few actually go ahead and submit the logs. Without the logs/bug report its very difficult for the ROM Team to reproduce the same issue and hence takes longer time to identify and kill these issues

Thus to make it simpler, let me introduce you to the OnePlus Logkit which is an OOS in-built feature to capture logs and does not require root access or any special permissions. If you follow the below you can easily take logs and submit for further testing and it does not matter if you are a stock or rooted user

Before we begin :fingers-crossed:

* Please make a clean flash to check whether the issue still persists before taking the log, most of the times a clean flash will solve your issue so we would appreciate if you do a clean flash before reporting any issue.

* We would appreciate logs without any mods like SuperSU/Magisk/Magisk Modules, Custom Kernels or any other Visual or SystemUI Mods/Substratum.

* This method should work on all OOS/H2OS Versions Stable & Beta as and when it comes for OP5 :fingers-crossed:

* Install the latest User Feedback App and use the same to submit logs/upload and share the link with me so i can forward them to the ROM Team :good:

Follow the below steps to take logs on OOS/H2OS using Oneplus Logkit and before you start, clear/close all recent apps:

1. Go to phone dialer app and dial *#800# :good:

2. Select the first option which says “oneplus Logkit” > Delete history log :good:

3. Click "advanced" > "save log type", select all these options (Kernel, Main, System, Radio, Event, Tcpdump), then click OK :good:

3. Go back & select the first option "save log", it would give you a prompt to reboot (reboot if the issue reoccurs easily, otherwise, click “cancel” :good:

4. Now make the issue reproduce and take a screenshot of the issue wherever possible :fingers-crossed:

6. Enter Oneplus Logkit, choose “other log info”, click “get bugreport info” once > Wait for 2-3 mins and let the Logs get saved till it shows a toast with "get info done" :good:

7. Go back, choose save log again to stop the log reporting :good:

7. Finally, Enter Files > Internal Storage > oem_log, find the folder, zip it to compress and send it to us along with the screenshot :highfive:

As mentioned above use the User Feedback App to submit the logs or upload and share the link the ROM Team on [email protected] and also share the upload link with me :good:

I will try my best to follow it up with the team directly :highfive:

Many Thanks for your support and consideration :highfive:

PS: Screenshots attached for the entire process for easy understanding :fingers-crossed:

On the official site, the latest recommended rom is 4.5.5
Maybe 4.5.8 rollout was cancelled?

I am on stock, why do I need to flash magisk? Also I am not using twrp. Im on stock 4.5.8 and stock kernel
I assumed that you are rooted considering you mentioned clean flash. With stock recovery you can't make a clean flash, it has to be a factory reset and dirty flash only.

Ah...damn it. I'm gonna test a few more days the battery life and see if notifications bug still persists after wiping the cache. And if no luck, I will factory reset :( and go back to 4.5.3.

Thanksfor the info!

Hello guys,

I have a problem with Facebook messenger app bubbles. Sometimes when I open a conversation with the bubble and start typing the keyboard disappears without any reason.

I don't know if this is a bug of the app. But the truth is that only happens when using those bubbles.

Is this ever happened to someone else? I'm using Google keyboard (the stock version)

Thank you

The same happens to me and as a person who is using the chat heads of facebook messenger, this drives me crazy. It is super annoying...

Can both of you please make the issue reproduce and take the logs to submit it to the rom team, I personally do not use facebook messenger so I cant reproduce the issue. Can you also try checking all the permissions for screen overlays for the messenger and also try the same with a different keyboard like Swiftkey just to make sure the issue still persists so we can take it from there, thanks.

Yeah, I flashed the dm_verity.zip after rooting. The phone was not booting after root until I flashed it, I don't know why. Does it have to do anything with that?
When decrypted you always have to flash SuperSu/Magisk after the rom flash and followed by No verity OP5 zip before you reboot system else it will boot loop as the OS will try to force encrypt again
