Now I'm also out of luck flash the official oreo build, because it was more smoother and snappier as OpenBeta 3 and ended in bootloop and have to go back in stock recovery and must erase everything to get it back to boot :silly:

Sent from my OnePlus 5 using XDA Labs

Why the icons shortcuts in notification panel is removed? Why it is not like the stick android? It is of so much use. Developer a request for this feature to be added. And also the settings ui.

Flashing Instructions:

Download the necessary files from the post above and follow as below:

PS: Dirty flash is fine if you are running a previous OOS version or any Rom based on OOS, else if you come from a custom rom Clean Flash is recommended.

Caution: Please remove your existing screen lock/Pin/Pattern/ Password and set it to swipe before starting the update process. Although in my testing i was able to update fine keeping my pin but one user has reported unable to unlock after the Oreo update, thus remove as precaution.

************************ For Unlocked Users with TWRP Recovery Method 1************************

Download the required files from Post 2

Once you have downloaded all the required files on you device, please follow as below

1. Update TWRP to the latest blu/ibe recovery from the link posted

2. Reboot Recovery and Take a Nandroid of your existing ROM just in case you need it

3. Wipe > Advance Wipe > Select Dalvik & Cache > Swipe to Wipe

4. Install Menu > Select OOS Open Beta 3 Full Rom Zip > Swipe to Flash

5. Flash the provided Magisk V15 to maintain root (Optional) (DO NOT FLASH 15.1 AS IT LEADS TO BLACK SCREEN)

6. Wipe Dalvik & Cache

7. Reboot Recovery to make sure TWRP stays

8. Reboot System once recovery boots again.

9. Upon boot into OS > Magisk Manager > Update to 15.1 via app > Reboot > Profit

The Device will reboot and your OnePlus 5 is now running on the latest OxygenOS Open Beta 3 firmware & OS based on Android Oreo 8.0.

The first boot may take some so calm and wait for it to boot:fingers-crossed:

Reverting back to the Official OTA path/7.1.1 from the Beta path will require a full install and clean flash (FULL WIPE of all data and cache). Please be aware that all data will be wiped during the revert-back process, so do remember to backup your data in advance
no require wipe system ?

Hello I need Help.

How to sideload rom to the phone. Or how to encrypt files, because when I boot to TWRP it's not asking for a password, so I can see files only letters. Thanks
