Thank you very much for Project Elixir and release of 3.8.
I installed it on my Pixel 4a (G025M).
I'm sorry I don't have enough time to try various functions/features now, but
currently there is no problem at all.
Good battery consamptions in phone idle state.
No problems Mobile Network conectivity (LTE CA+, VoLTE) and WiFi(802.11ac) connectivity.
It works extremely smooth. it's excellent.

How many hours of SOT you get? Can you silence the camera shutter sound?

Thank you for this great ROM. Launcher crashes after starting Assistant via Google Search bar.

I'm sorry. I'm not really interested in either SOT and shutter sound setting.
I tried looking for a setting to turn off the shutter sound, but I couldn't find it.
I don't use my phone for long periods of time, so the SOT length isn't really an issue for me.
but I think ProjectElixir will not have any problems for SOT.
Please confirm and enjoy yourself.

The Essence Gestures Setting "Double tap to check phone" does not replace the Standard System Gesture "tap to check phone" or am I doing something wrong?

Since SOT came up in the topic, I was a little bit intrigued and decided to actually try it out (confirm it).

Test environment is as follows:
Pixel 4a (G025M)
Project Elixir 3.8
WiFi off
Mobile Network connect 4G/4G+ (Keep good signal strength)
Bluetooth on (no device connect)
NFC on
100% Battery Charged

After booting, I didn't launch any apps and just kept showing the Home Screen. (Set to not screen off/lock indefinitely using Caffeine)

As a result, after 12 hours, the remaining battery capacity is 63%.

By using WiFi connection instead of Mobile Network, it can get more better results.
Also, if you use any apps, the battery consumption will naturally increase,
but it depends on the apps you use, so I think little point in checking.

    Wow, love this rom. It is smooth as butter, nearly everything works perfectly. Never believed that custom rom could run smoother than stock. Only missing NFC for payments. Keep it up 👍
