This is from the Buggy Blitz folks that also made Riptide and Shine Runners. Also the apparent reason for Syder Arcade not working. Apparently it is a sound issue unique to the Nook as far as not working. Odd.

"Yeah the problem is that we use a sound system called FMOD which for some reason does not work on the Nook. We released a separate version specifically for Nooks through the Nook store, which is why it makes a difference if you buy it there or through the Google play store.

Unfortunately there's nothing we can do to fix this for you, other than issue you a refund and if you want you can go ahead and buy them through the Nook store. Only catch is that BBB is not available on Nook.

Matt"

The weird thing is Buggy Blitz, Riptide and Shine Runners DID work with stock 2.1 and I installed via Play market and not Nook market. Did the app stores mind meld?

And this is a total lie too, because the same crash happens on Kindle Fire HD 8.9 with CM10.1 that has a totally different sound driver.
also if we revert to older sgx drivers, these games start to work too, which sort of points into gfx direction as well.
Possibly there was some other, older issue that they refer too, though.

Regardless, the dev that can fix it will not, so same net result. All I know is the games did work with stock 2.1. That said, the stutter due to whatever the heck B&N's contracted devs did in the firmware (that and the library sync) made the device problematic for gaming. CM 10.1 makes the Nook HD+ crazy good compared to stock, especially factoring the price.

I have "lost" five games on the Nook (tested so far), but gained the three Star Wars games in Zen Arcade (those games did not work with 2.1 but do with CM 10.1).

More than reasonable "sacrifice" :)
