Sir, I have question regarding a13 restriction. If I extracted the file and copy it to android data folder using the recovery is it possible? I tried many file managers but couldn't access internal android data.

I'm not sure I fully understand the question, because formatting data has nothing to do with flashing a recovery.

On the issue of backups, the advice is clear, and I have no further comment about it.

That's not a recovery log - it's just a small selection from the log. And "stock MIUI 13" doesn't mean much because there are many different releases of stock MIUI.

Righty-o, here's the full log attached - also includes an attempt to backup Internal Storage (first), then an attempt to decrypt. Seems OrangeFox doesn't recognize the encryption scheme -

Invalid encryption mode 'aes-256-xts:aes-256-cts:v2+inlinecrypt_optimized+wrappedkey_v0'

Well I guess Internal Storage backup won't work anyway while still encrypted, silly me. I had that confused with Data Image backup. Nevermind that.

Will try official TWRP and PB in the meantime to see if they're any different (of course OrangeFox is my preference heh).

And yeah I'm running Go-Plus so it's technically not stock. Totally fine if you're unable to support stock-mod ROM's.

EDIT: XDA fail, says it is attached but it didn't. Guess I gotta zip it, sorry!

Update: PB and official TWRP are the same.

I'll do a backup of all my apps and do a clean flash of the official-stock latest MIUI 13 (13.0.8.0.SJUMIXM) and get back to you.

EDIT: Including a full Data format *within* OrangeFox.

It seems that you have a beta MIUI release. That may be the problem (or it may not). Why not first try removing the screen lock from MIUI, restart MIUI, and then add the screenlock again?

If that doesn't solve the problem, then I suggest you stay away from MIUI beta releases. The latest Global Stable release is V13.0.3.0.SJUMIXM, and it decrypts perfectly fine.

I was referring to this, in the log you attached, which indicates that the ROM is V13.0.5.0.SJUMIXM:

* MIUI ROM (SDK:31, Android 12)
* RKQ1.200826.002
* (V13.0.5.0.SJUMIXM)
* Fingerprint: POCO/vayu_global/vayu:12/RKQ1.200826.002/V13.0.5.0.SJUMIXM:user/release-keys

If you go to https://orangefox.download/device/vayu you will see that there are several releases, and only the latest one R11.1_3_A12 supports only A12/13. If you download an older one, it should work fine

Hi all. What recovery should i install between latest versions of this two: orangefox recovery or twrp ? I want the most stable one. There is also the pitchblack recovery but i don't know much about it. Now i'm stock miui V13.0.4.0.SJUEUXM but i'm waiting for bootloader to be unlocked and then i want to install a custom recovery and rom. What 13 rom should i use; what's most stable one, if you guys can tell me ? Thanks.
