When you say Indian are you talking about a global version and not Chinese version?
Yes, I mean if you have a Chinese device flash only if the firmware is Chinese or if it's global/any other firmware apart from Chinese same goes for Indian devices and Indonesian there are chances it might get bricked/loop.

In short
Chinese unit + Chinese ROM = Safe
Indian unit + Indian ROM = Safe
But if
Chineshe unit + Global ROM = Brick
Indian unit + Chinese ROM = Brick

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't get bricked because I have fastboot and a flashall.bat through fastboot. It brought me to 10.4.1 miui. I have an international 9 pro with a global miui. So based on what you are saying orange won't work for my device.

Was it in booloop? could you relive it?
also my Redmi note 8 pro was bricked, only ADB working, but not sideload nor fastboot.
how can I flash old stock recovery?

---------- Post added at 11:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:06 PM ----------

If the phone is boot looping, I found a way to boot into fastboot and flash boot.img from a stock file.
what is the way to boot into fastboot?

All you have to do is press and hold power plus volume down until fastboot comes up.
