You can try because I successfully installed it in indian device with global rom. But make sure you firstly flash preloader and lk as safety. Because you will encounter many problem while installing orange fox. And yup don't forget to flash indian vendor before flashing anything. And it have black screen issue you have to press power button two time while rebooting in recovery mode.
Wouldn't he flash china vendor since he's got a chinese variant of the device?
Miui 11 is android 7.0 to android 10. Miui 12 is android 9.0 to android 10. Ofox 10 is based on twrp 3.3.1. Twrp has not been updated to a higher revision yet. All devices are using 3.2.3 or higher with full compatibility for 9.0 and 10. Based upon these common facts that are everywhere, what do you think?
No because at this time every redmi note 8 pro rom is based on indian vendor. So flashing indian vendor is more coorect than Chinese vendor.

I installed the latest version on rn8p global with european rom 11.0.3 android 10. IT DOES NOT WORK - BLACK SCREEN
Its working, you just press few times vol up after that black screen. Or lock/unlock key,for me on this way is working.
Is any update will be expected for this recovery for CFW rom compability. Because many custom rom use CFW so this recovery should be updated also because this is great recovery.:laugh:
Could you please explain how you managed to keep the recovery installed? Once I boot to system with 11.0.3.0 QGGEUXM, the recovery is gone. Thank you.
You need to remove recovery-from-boot.p from system folder. Do you use twrp as I know in orange fox you don't need to delete that file

I indeed used OrangeFox in connection with 11.0.3.0 QGGEUXM. OrangeFox was replaced once I booted to system. The issue was solved by modifying AVB 2.0. Now I use https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...overy-twrp-recovery-redmi-note-8-pro-t4033695
The main advantage of this recovery seems to be that it can partly handle multiple profiles without backup errors. At least, that's what other users say. I still need to verify.
Maybe OrangeFox will be updated as well. I do like the GUI and other features.
Ya orange fox is best recovery for redmi note 8 pro. As I used too many recovery but the orange fox is one which have many features like we can also setup ota update through system updater app for miui in it.
