"Encryption"

if you flash DFE , i don't think so

Since I had some issues with titanium backup in A11 I recommend to have also a backup with Migrate (NG). Don't forget to move the files to your ext. SD-card before formatting data and to move it then back to the internal memory for trying to restore the apps etc.

So to clarify on the exact process, please let me know if I understand correctly:
Step 1. Backup data:
Option A: Use titanium backup (I have done this process before so I am familiar with this already)
Option B: Use Migrate NG: What is the most recent link to download? Seems google play version is outdated
Option C: Nandroid backup using OF recovery: How to do it? All folders in data are alphanumeric

Step 2. Format data: in OF, go to wipe ->format data

Step 3. Flash recovery ROM using OF: miui_GINKGOGlobal_V12.0.2.0.RCOMIXM_95e3ba801c_11.0.zip
(question: in OF, settings -> OTA & ROM -> Patch ROM, should Disable DM-Verity, Disable Forced Encryption and Aggresive stock recovery deactivation options be checked?)

Step 4: Flash Magisk-v23.0.zip

Step 5: Flash DFE (which file exactly I am confused? and do I need to do this step if the OF options in Step3 are checked?)

Step 6: Reboot to system, login again with MIUI - Google credentials etc.

Step 7: Restore apps from titanium backup (if from Nandroid backup in OF, how exactly?)

Sorry for the long list of questions but I need to make sure I don't mess up

Step 1. Backup data:
Option A: Use titanium backup (I have done this process before so I am familiar with this already)
???
if your system is "ON" use O&BackupX or Alpha Backup
those are more efficient than titanium backup

Option B: Use Migrate NG: What is the most recent link to download? Seems google play version is outdated
the app still work

Option C: Nandroid backup using OF recovery: How to do it? All folders in data are alphanumeric
now this is a problem , data is encrypted

question: in OF, settings -> OTA & ROM -> Patch ROM, should Disable DM-Verity, Disable Forced Encryption and Aggresive stock recovery deactivation options be checked?
only Aggresive stock recovery deactivation

Step 5: Flash DFE (which file exactly I am confused? and do I need to do this step if the OF options in Step3 are checked?)
use original AIO DFE from it's source

Step 7: Restore apps from titanium backup (if from Nandroid backup in OF, how exactly?)
0002.jpg

but i don't think it will work if data is encrypted
and you don't need since you can backup and restore with O&BackupX or Alpha Backup

First of all, THANKS.
I'm using this amazing recovery for 1 year and I'm very happy with it.

I'm under Resurection Remix and I'm planning to change my OS because RR is abandoned.

My question is... ¿Orange Fox Recovery suports android 12 roms like "Arrow OS"?

Thanks a lot devs (Very happy with recovery password and all) ;)

Have a nice day ^_^

-the rom is fluid/perfect and has literally everything
-updates were already minimal and android is a really secure OS so you don't really need security updates ...

for Rom makers that is their thing to play with new sources and stuff everytime a new android released ...
but i'm not gonna switch just because the majority of people did for 3 reasons :
1-A11 and A12 are resource hungry (worst performance and bad battery life)
2-updates on A11 and A12 are not gonne benefit me in any way (in fact no rom until now have features like RROS so i'm gonna lose things ...)
3-what if people are idiots ?
My question is... ¿Orange Fox Recovery suports android 12 roms like "Arrow OS"?
nowdays rom makers release pre decrypted roms to prevent recovery problems
if not flash DFE and format data
hopefully OFox devs will fix this ...

For now, it's better to use android 11 than 12 (if you still want to upgrade). Android 12 is still in early development, no official support from custom recovery. And if you want to use Arrow, please remember, Arrow is based on AOSP. So it has very limited customizations.

I used Arrow 11, I didn't find any problem with data encryption while using orangefox.

I have a Redmi Note 8T Willow, but it seems like there are only downloads for the Ginkgo... Can anyone link a recovery that works on Willow? I can't find any!

Oh really? But are you 100% sure? You mean that ginkgo recoveries (and roms?) also work on willow devices? If that's true I just threw away a whole day searching for willow recoveries :')
yes, sure
but about roms you have to be carefull , some roms have 'Firmware' folder inside the zip
those are for 1 device only (Ginkgo or willow) not both (read devs note)
if the rom does not have FW you can flash it in both devices

It works with a12 but not fully supported

I suppose decryption is still unsupported with Android 12?
