This recovery image worked well for redmi note 7 but didn't work for redmi note 7s, though my device bootloader is unlocked .
I tried with TWRP also , but it didn't worked . Every time i flash recovery , it gets rebooted default MIUI recovery mode.

The recovery image i use is same as above and commands are:
adb reboot bootloader.
/*in fastboot mode/*
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'recovery' (20900 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.471s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.198s]
finished. total time: 0.670s

i get this message but when i enter
"adb reboot recovery" it reboots in default MIUI recovery mode.

please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once installed the recovery shut down the phone and try to reboot with vol+ and power

As @darhma suggested, you should not boot to system after flashing the recovery but first boot into recovery, allow the modifications and also flash the recovery zip (to make sure it persists) and let it reboot to recovery automatically again. Then after allowing the modifications you can reboot to system.

This is a wild guess, but the last version is previous to the new release of android, so it probablly won't do for the time being.
So hilarious, recovery is impacted minimal with android update, something like this on PC: you have old BIOS version but some how you still can install new OS system

Not really, if the os has bugs, like the majority of new ROMS probably break things, like encryption. Then the people using it will come here to pester OP when it has nothing to do. Also, old BIOS can break OS in PC, or most likely windows can break because of old BIOS. Don't tag me if you are only to do OT.

I have the same problem as others. I can flash the TWRP recovery, but booting it will result in the system just loading and booting up. I’ve tried all solutions in this thread and others but to no avail. I then want to install Orange Fox but the help site https://wiki.orangefox.tech/en/guides/installing_orangefox hasn’t been working for days so I’m kind of lost. Any help, please?
Hmm ... the OrangeFox wiki page is up.
