Lineage office used a different encryption methodApologies if this is a stupid question but I've searched for info but had no luck. I formated my data and installed a lineage os rom but after setting up the device and installing apps etc and restoring my phones music, photos and zips ready to flash (I never set a pin/finger print etc) recovery can't see any files. Just the "fox" folder. I reboot into the rom and all my files are there. Any thoughts/ideas? Curtana/note 9s
Any ROMs built Using the Official LineageOS's Tree will have Decryption Issue because of FBEv2.Apologies if this is a stupid question but I've searched for info but had no luck. Any info about FBEv2 ? ThanksAny ROMs built Using the Official LineageOS's Tree will have Decryption Issue because of FBEv2.
This is NOT an OrangeFox Issue
In other words to use LOS I have to use their recovery too... That's a shame, hopefully that changes in the future cause it's annoying not being able to simply flash files. Thanks for the infoAny ROMs built Using the Official LineageOS's Tree will have Decryption Issue because of FBEv2.

I am not sure why you think that you can't flash files. LOS recovery and AOSP recovery don't decrypt either (they don't need to, in order to implement their limited functionality). There is nothing that LOS recovery can do that OrangeFox cannot do, other than their delta OTA updates. In other words to use LOS I have to use their recovery too... I haven't actually used Los recovery before but everyone always mentions flashing everything using fastboot and sideloading everything so assumed it wasn't similar to cwm, twrp or ofox in the sense of simplicity. I don't know of it was ofox only but I couldn't SEE any files in recovery let alone flash (note there were no files displayed) anything while running the last months Los rom which is why I thought I would ask here and according to the response up a few posts I would need to run their recovery.I am not sure why you think that you can't flash files. In fact, you can flash anything that doesn't write to the data partition or the internal storage. And most flashable zips don't do any of that.
Using LOS Recovery Won't make any difference. Both of the Recoveries Can't Decrypt your ROMIn other words to use LOS I have to use their recovery too... That's a shame, hopefully that changes in the future cause it's annoying not being able to simply flash files. Thanks for the info
You WILL see files on MicroSD cards and usb OTG drives.... I couldn't SEE any files in recovery let alone flash (note there were no files displayed) ...
Sorry, but without any context, this is meaningless.1970-12-12 13:04:38.267 580-580/? E/QSEECOMD:: Init dlopen(libspl.so, RLTD_NOW) is failed.... dlopen failed: library "libspl.so" not found ...
You are trying to boot a zip file?
The developer does not "know about" anything that has not been properly reported.I haven't tried it, but they say latest version of orange fox has issues when flashing android 12 ROM, with the previous version 11.1_1 it's ok. Does the developer know about this?
How to properly report? The developer does not "know about" anything that has not been properly reported.

It seems that you really want to flog to death this notion of wiping system. The answer is exactly the same answer that has been given to the several posts you have made about this issue. I will repeat it for the last time:There are some ROMs which requires wiping system, vendor partitions to flash them like Pixel experience. There's no such option in Orange Fox. What can I do to flash ROMs?
It seems that you really want to flog to death this notion of wiping system. The answer is exactly the same answer that has been given to the several posts you have made about this issue. I will repeat it for the last time:
1. There is no requirement to wipe system;
2. You cannot wipe system, even if you wanted to
3. All that is required for a clean flash is:
- Flash ROM +
- Wipe caches/dalvik +
- Format data +
- Boot to system
