It didnt work for me :-(
Thanks anyway!

Recovery often does not support encrypted data partitions,

1) Reboot the device in fastboot

2) Open the CMD inside the platform-tools folder

WARNING: NEVER run "fastboot -w" on Minimal Fastboot and ADB or 15 Seconds ADB installer, doing this the DATA partition is corrupted so it must necessarily be run on platform-tools.

3) Run the "fastboot -w" command.

4) Now the device is decrypted.

again, youll lose all userdata, be mindful that it will only work until you create new user data, so you need to enter recovery right after reboot, I think if you do not do anything on first startup you should be good, but just to be safe refrain from going into system and go straight to recovery, there flashing the .zip of orange fox, should solve the issue, if not, yo can always redo this process and do what you need right after flashing the Orange fox zip, annoying but it should work.

i installed OFRP via fastboot on MIUI 12.0.15 but the touchscreen doesn't work (like any other recovery i tried), i also tried MIUI 12.5.7 but it's stuck on orangefox logo
I know how you migth be able to solve the one stuck in Orange Fox logo, try this.

I managed to succesfully install this Orange Fox custom recovery on .
Xiaomi Redmi 9A Dandelion
Im using MIUI Global 12.0.15 Stable
Everything works perfectly so far 10/10

I simply followed these instructions:
I did
adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

And afterwards flashed the recovery.zip from within OrangeFox to finalize.

I just have a few question.

Inside OrangeFox Recovery there are options to flash Magisk into it, are these safe to use in order to get root and debloat my device?
Do i need additional files, from the magisk website? Or are the files inside the recovery enough?

Thank you in advance, i just had these doubts, recentrly i fried my Motherboard, and many of my devices, i've destroyed lots of things, so im being cautious with everything i do.

Good for you.

I just have a few question.

Inside OrangeFox Recovery there are options to flash Magisk into it, are these safe to use in order to get root and debloat my device?
I think there are debloated ROMs that would be easier to flash, but thats beside the point.

To answer your question, Im not sure, I also saw those options and if youre talking about the same ones I saw, I think those options wont do anything Im pretty sure I tried them but nothing happened, in any case maybe I was just lucky and I know how to unbrick my device so I was pretty reckless on every stepof the way.

Now, if youre talking about dirtyflashing magisk.zip, thats not recomended since android 10 IIRC, it works sometimes but for reasons out of my knoledge, its not recomended.

Do i need additional files, from the magisk website? Or are the files inside the recovery enough?
The recomended method of flashing right now is installing the latest official, magisk APK you get from here and installing it on your phone

you should have a an A-only device since our devices are the same but I would check it throuhg adb, Orange Fox has a nice guide on how to do it.

Orange Fox Install guide said:
Connect to your phone with a usb cable, open a command prompt, and run the command:
adb shell getprop ro.boot.slot_suffix

If your phone is an A/B device, you will be shown the active slot (ie, either "_a", or "_b"). If the command shows no output, then the phone is NOT an A/B device.
if you do indeed have a A-only, get the boot.img thats inside the ROM you installed, (im pretty sure it has to be the fastboot one, but dont quote me on that) its supposed to be on

...\ROM\images\boot.img

put it on the phone SD card

open the app and check that the RAMDISK says yes (again it should be since my phone is and yours is the same, but check it.

if so, open magisk app, tap on install;

options: select the patching vbmeta (the option has to be activated, I think this will bootloop your device otherwise)
tap on next
method: select and patch file
tap on lets go

The Magisk app will patch the image to
[Internal Storage]/Download/magisk_patched_[random_strings].img.

copy that to your pc, Magisk says to use adb but its not necesary you can use file transfer using a cable, copy it specifically to your .../adb/platform-tools folder, change its name to "magisk_patched.img"

open CMD, and go to your .../adb/platform-tools folder using the cd command

once there you run fastboot flash boot /path/to/magisk_patched.img

and youre done, you should have rooted your device.

Thank you in advance, i just had these doubts, recentrly i fried my Motherboard, and many of my devices, i've destroyed lots of things, so im being cautious with everything i do.

No problem, as a final note, I recomend checking the "official guides", its not that I did something so different, I just did what worked better for me as a total n00b, but what I did was specific for my device and I made it up as I went, Im not responsible if anything bad happens to your device for blindly followig my guide, but the same goes for anything you do to your phone really, so there, I hope it helps you.

I rooted my device with these, its a bit overwelming to look at it but its way simpler, you just need to skip the steps that are not for our device., if you run into issues or doubts come to this comment to check how I did it, but thats about it.

Oh and one last thing, It said on there that rooting requires a full data wipe? I didnt do that, I thought it would do it on its own while, before or after flashing boot.img, It did not. I dont know if I was suposed to do it or what but.. yeah, that happened.

Hi.
In these few days I try some experiments to understand more about this phone.

I confirm, this redmi is only good to put inside a garbage box. Totally wrong in terms of hardware to run Android 10 or 11... I think you must consider a lower version, more light such as marshmallow or Oreo. Totally a delusion. Octacore power horses but completely without legs.
However, I was able to do, last week a downgrade to android 10 after my hard brick. And putting Orange Fox all goes like a charme. If I upgrade to android 11 stock, Orange Fox doesn't work at all.
I also tried custom roms. But a lot of problems come. Stucked at remi logo, under arrow os and cdroid os. (Garden is different from Dandelion)

Now I'm already on Android stock versions enhanced+ 0.5 ram. But still a lot of lags, the new telegram release has a lot of lag opening emotions menu(unusable at all) a lot of lags using chrome. A lot of lag opening settings menu...
Terrific experience using this redmi 9at.

Im stuck on a boot loop, can only reach Fastboot mode.
Can't format system, tried reflashing the recovery, and im a linux user thats the most frustrating part.

That of course everything would be easy to fix if i had windows. But from this end, only 1 or 2 tools work. I just simply give up on phones, yesterday i took my ayahuasca, and i understood how much i feel jailed by this tecnology, how much i am fighting corporations, and we're being limited, we're being Subdued and they're not allowing us to Customize our Phones, to be free, they are trying to make us do what they want us to do, and brainwashing us into Android Updates, close source development, lack of freedom, I want to fu kcing monitor mode in my phone, and its not possible, i want to fu kcing root it , i wanna see all the folders , brick it and repair it on my own very easily, i want to modify the hardware, i want more freedom " AND THEY KNOW THEY COULD GIVE IT TO US , BUT GOOGLE HAS DECIDED TO NOT ALLOW US TO NOT LET AS ACT IN THIS FREEDOM " --> In order to keep us in a position, in our places of ignorance.

Right now im downloading the dam firmware, 2.9 GB
    Dandelion_Global_images_V-12.0.3.0.QCDMIX

And im gonna proceede to try and flash it through fastboot after, and see if that works.

    If im not mistaken
    1) I corrupted the Boot.img after trying to root it with magisk.
    2) I triggered verity , and verification, authorization securities.

Either way i wanna follow this tutorial.

    Or this one

But i cant use any of those tools
Im limited to SPFLASH , which works on linux
    And thats it.

    ___________
    ACTUnlock tool
    MTK GSM Sulteng

These other 2 tools will never work on wine, they're EXE's that need passthrough methods to read the phone's USB.

Its not possible to use them unless i start a VM, I SWEARED ON JESUS CHRIST that i'd never use a Virtual Machine ever again, 11 GB's of waste, a Windows 10 ISO that i dont wanna see ever again.
I Dont wanna see microsoft ! i dont wanna see YOU microsoft .I. fukc you with your google partnership.

See? EVEN THE METHODS TO BE FREE REQUIRE YOU USING GOOGLE AND MICROSOFT WINDOWS.
IM SO SO MUCH AGAINST IT , I USE LINUX ONLY.
We're even loosing on the process of becoming free, of gaining access to our devices, by still using the Platforms of the corporations that keep us in this state. Developers must be stupid, why are you developing a tool for Windows which in the 1st places keeps you Observed and LIMITED FUNCTIONALITY WISE.
No wonder we're not getting anywhere in the past 8-10 years... All we've done is Root and THATS IT !

WHY? Because we're stupid blindly using such OS's , such tools, Such coding languages that are made by the same DEVIL, the same coporations that dont want us to be free or to grow, or to be independant

Im starting to understand THAT EVEN XDA works for google .
Heck even Ubuntu starting to work for google with Ubuntu Touch...
We might never know, Google might be hiding there somewhere... (Thats my point)

We're done.... money washes people, and Money is just paper, binaries controlled by the gouverments.
Everyone will say YES to money and simply work for Google.

Thats it , i give up on phones, Im not using, buying a phone ever again.
They wanna try to sell me, to get me, well the people are waking up,
Good job on loosing clients, loosing the faith of people, they're gonna loose the clients and the people because everyone is starting to wake up. Even old people dont want this tecnology. And youngsters know its a lie and " Its not worth it "
Your bank is there, the phone SIM CARD company, the device company, the NSA, the police, why not even your ISP if you use wifi, SO look im fighting more than 5 entities, i carry with me on my pocket more than 5-10 capitalistic entitites/corporations. ITS ME WHO IS CURSING MYSELF.
No body Dares to keep me trapped, or to put eyes on me, or try to keep us limited. Only I CAN ALLOW THAT to myself, And i wont allow it anymore, i dont keep myself in this capitalism, in these lies, in these limitations, in this fight, because they wont ever let us be free, or allow us to use this as it should be used.

US Users, will stop using this crap. And it'll be the end for these kind of radiofrequency mechanics, for these hardware/softwares.
Us hackers will start to work from outside grids, and its gonna get worst on them.

All they are doing is making more enemies, and drive the people away, Fine Xiaomi, Fine Samsung, Fine all of you, we'll see who is in charge.

If someone asks me " Hey gimme ur Phone number "
Ill just give em my Ins tagram , my email, ask them for their number and message them through Telegram Desktop, I'll use a fake number API, and thats it... Fukc having a phone, it the worst hell you can go into. I dont recommend it to anymore. Thats my advice, stop using them, and lets become smarter for once.

You wanna game on Ur PORTABLE DEVICE? Use Steam Deck, use Japanese-Chinese Emulators, capable of emulating Phones, You wanna run APK's? Run them through other devices, USE ANYTHING EXCEPT A phone.... Heck even raspberry is better, but not a phone... Not this architecture with Android.

My critics are against Google and Android, but mostly against Google for being implanted on the phones by default, thats what my rant is about.
    1
You are experienced and know everything nothing else left
    1
Hey i just felt like leaving that message to critizice it .
To critizice the company, im sorry if i overdid it , im sorry for ranting and expressing myself.

I managed to repair it, by downloading the firmware, Dandelion_Global_images_V-12.0.3.0.QCDMIX
    And did.
    sudo fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img

The Phone booted back up now, and its working now, for now im gonna look for a way to flash another ROM with better functions. Im very Impatient with these things, im sorry.

" If anyone can recommend me a good
Custom Rom for this device, that's very appreciated <3 "

You can try nusantara or crdroid on this device

Hi, I've got a Redmi 10A and I noticed that it's similar to the 9A, I tried to flash this recovery, however, it's stuck on OF logo. Other recoveries like Pitchblack or TWRP have not working the touchscreen. Any idea why this is happening? Anyone with a 10A?

I solved the OF stuck on logo by entering stock recovery, formatting data and not letting MIUI to encrypt the phone, so you need to wait the format data and then go to fastboot mode before phone is encrypted.

Anyway, even after entering OF I have the touchscreen not working, apparently is due to a driver missing.

I cross my fingers, same thing happened with Pitch Black recovery. Any other custom recovery works on your side?
None works. I had to make a very simple port from a non-touch custom recovery to make some backups I really needed, but is also full of bugs and I had to Uninstall it. Better wait for developer to sort things out. If by any chance you are looking to root this device, you can easily do it flashing a patched boot image through fastboot.

Great. Does it work on OrangeFox?
