lets assume it a 5X device. should i foloow that instructions? but how do i get out of the state im in now?

If it would be a 5X the rom Is completely different because it use a MIUI and not Android One (like Mi A1 does) ...

Are you sure that pushing pwr button a long does not switch off ?
In this moment I don't know how exit from this state that looks as a softbrick very probably because we have used a ROM addressed to Mi A1 on 5X ...

been holding the power button only for at least 2 minutes and than together with volume up and volume down and absolutelly nothing .

So it is confirmed that you have a 5X fake because it has on board the firmware of Mi A1

So i have to open the phone and use test point to flash the rom...but
Phone is connected to mi flash tool but from the link where i should download the ROm i cannot find the one for 5X

Yes i have downloaded the ROM but getting errors. Please see screenshot
Edit: dont understand why the oictures not being displayed basically its saying :#

INfact I never see your attached pictures ... not only this one
Is the device recognized into EDL mode by MiFlash sw ??
I mean ... is the COM port activated correctly ?

The phone has been recodnized in the flash tool under COM10 and its starting to flash then the error ocurres

HAve you tried both MIUI roms available in download page for Mi 5X ??

Let try to install mIFLASH on other folder or other drive or simply unplug and replug the cable

I think that the problem is with the ROM itself

I have found tiffany ROMs so going to try to flash it

The errore code is related to MiFlash sw and it is fixed usually with the tips/trick reported above but ...

successfully flashed tiffany ROM and phone is again up and running. So i start over again as there is only few languages and no google play store just chinese version of it

I have not experience about this kind of issue
As you understand ... You have bought a Chinese product not addressed to international marked so it is normal this situation
But probably here on XDa or on other forum you can find right procedure

Well my brother both this phone and start to flash diferrent ROMs etc so the phone was already mixed up.
And of course i did hit the THANKS button

Put device in fastboot
Download the cosmic dan twrp for only boot in it (let keep attention to right version ... Not installer ...)
I mean this one:
https://github.com/CosmicDan-Androi...t_boot_only-3.2.1-with-Tissot-Manager-2.5.zip
Rename it as simply: twrp.img
..........

Is CosmicDan's twrp the only one that will work properly for stock Pie?
